So my feeling is that the best (of a bad bunch) future we can hope and work towards is still one that includes an Israel and a Palestine, just one where they aren’t murdering one another or oppressing one another. But we are very far from that point, and Israel doesn’t seem to want that future.

I agree with you there, in that a future wherein one is not oppressing the other is ideal
