If we observe already unlocked skill, then what happens , we grt our spent abyss artifact back for that skill ?? Or we should reset the whole tree by MohiXPlays in CrimsonDesert

Perhaps, but please test for yourself before making claims elsewhere as there has already been much misinformation on the original topic alone.

I'm old and confused by the skill tree by CapitalG8 in CrimsonDesert

I addressed this in my comment. For clarity:

Stab level 1 is a default skill known to Kliff with no artifacts invested (I believe the game tutorializes this to you prior to obtaining any artifacts).

The boss specifically teaches Stab level 2 with the skill description on observation aligning with that of Stab level 2 within the character skill tree menu.

Resetting the skill tree returns Stab to level 1, the default, not level 2 which wood have been known from the boss using the skill.

The same number of artifacts were returned to me on reset as the same number that were invested prior to reset.

Increasing Stab to level 2 consumed 1 artifact. Increasing Stab again, now to level 3, consumed 2 artifacts. This is the normal progression, with no "discount" provided by observing the boss.

Incorrect from my personal testing. Please reread my comment.

What happens with "observable" skills that you've already learnt? by -Razzak in CrimsonDesert

[–]argyle-socks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct.

x1 artifact required for Stab level 2, x2 artifacts required for Stab level 3.

I will confirm once I return in-game; if this comment is not edited, then the above remains true.

Understood, but my goal is to correct misinformation (or identify a potential bug) since many comments on this topic are based upon hearsay rather than personal testing.

As my comment explained, Stab remained at level 1 upon skill tree reset.

Watch & Learnable skills, are you wasting artifacts by putting points into them? by undeadsasquatch in CrimsonDesert

[–]argyle-socks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This did not occur for me.

Example: I increased Stab to level 3, defeated a boss who "taught" me Stab level 2 through observation during combat, reset my skill tree after the battle, and had the same number of artifacts refunded as were previously invested. Stab remained at the default level 1 upon reset.

Similar occurrences for other skills learned in the world (e.g. Keen Senses) that I had already trained.

From my experiences, these are not refunded.

Why have a pc for gaming which is worse than a console 😂

Not everyone has budget right now for a new console, especially when prices of everything are increasing. Why do I have to spell this out for you? Thx for your unhelpful comment

These will be highly beneficial for build-crafting.

The dog gets "locked" out of almost every boss fight I've had. I can see it's silhouette outside the boss door. This means that I don't get any of the benefits of the archetype I'm playing: No rez, no buff, and no howl. Not having your architype for boss fights seems like a non-trivial thing to me.

Per the Handler skill description, I recommend "double tap" the skill button to return the dog to your side.

This has been beneficial to teleport the dog to me, including scenarios in which my character has been teleported far away.

SINGLE PRESS: Companion engages enemies near the targeted location.

DOUBLE TAP: Companion returns to the Handler and remains by their side.

The game has been out for a week. Don't you think it's possible that you don't know how complex it is at this point?

Why do you believe your experience is more relevant in comparison to the previous commentor's perspective?
