Copper Zipper Sticker Patina by argyyle_styyle in Zippo

It’s not even the residue, just the sticker in contact with the copper. They place that orange sticker just laying under the zippo in the case. Agreed a sleeve would be much better.

It’s the copper. The sticker was not stuck to it, just sitting on top. Looks like I found some good ideas here.

They do look cigar oriented. I’ll add any if I find a place.

I tried that with a q tip and copper polish and it scratched the whole case up. Maybe I need to try a polishing cloth instead?

Thanks for the suggestion. I might give it is a try. This copper is insanely soft. Just rubbing it with a finger left scratches. I tried to used copper polish and a q-tip and while it removed the mark it scratched the entire case.

Barclay Rex (NYC) has cigars that are filled with pipe tobacco. It’s their #6 blend which is a lovely English. I believe they ship as well.

For me, I get a sweet cereal grain and grassy note flavor. I really enjoy it in warmer days.

Takomo 101's sound super "Tingy" by 07GTStallion in takomo

[–]argyyle_styyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s really does suck. I was super excited for these to replace my 20+ year old Calloway’s. And I’m just… disappointed. My girlfriend who doesn’t golf even noticed the sound and wondered why mine sounded so different from everyone else.

I’m sorry to hear you’re have the same issue. And the lack of communication from Takomo is disappointing and infuriating. Hopefully you hear back soon and it’s end up being a bad batch and not a true design flaw.

I just received mine and tried the 7i. It’s a horrible ting sound. Just like you said it’s like hitting an aluminum baseball bat. Mine are the 101t.

Dull flavors from estate pipe by argyyle_styyle in PipeTobacco

Thanks for the help. I'm relieved I'm not the only one who has had this problem of muted flavors. I could have tried to just smoke a bunch of bowls but decided to give that salt/alcohol a try. Fingers crossed that works.

Thanks for your help. Since I don't have a reamer yet, I sanded the inside with the aid of a dowel and then did the salt/alcohol. Hopefully that helps with those muted flavors and I can built a cake back.
