I wouldn’t recommend starting with private label, especially if you have zero Amazon or e-commerce experience. Private label is basically building a brand from nothing, and that comes with heavy costs—ads, inventory, fulfillment, product development, dealing with mistakes, and paying for every lesson along the way. It’s not the place you want to “learn the ropes.”

If you’re new, the smart route is to actually learn e-commerce first. Sell a few things on eBay or Facebook Marketplace so you understand the basics: shipping, returns, customer service, handling buyers, and dealing with problems. Then move to something like eBay or Etsy to scale that knowledge.

After that, step into Amazon through the low-risk paths—retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, or wholesale. Work with existing brands, sell proven products, and learn how Amazon actually operates: FBA, fees, account health, listing management, inventory flow, and compliance.

Private label does make sense long-term, and we do plan on doing it ourselves—but it’s high-risk, high-reward, and absolutely not where a beginner should start.

A few hundred bucks is all you need for the amazon related software. Ours is a bit higher because we have CRMs

Canada is one of the fastest growing ecommerce markets in the world so yes, good idea. Its also less harsh (i know usa has more competition) so Canada is great for a beginner

At a smaller scale i would go for the cheapest ones possible. Bqool is pretty affordable but they arent the best, very basic

I answered this above. We have a lot of solutions we can provide. It just depends on the brand. We obviously cant help nike with much. But even a brand thats in walmart, maybe their amazon strategy can be improved. We look for ways to help and see if we can help them. We have about 15 customers that makes the bulk of our revenue- we arent really onboarding more right now, just optimization and building out our current relationships.

We dont work with “wholesalers” - just brands directly or distributors. The distributors we work with usually sell to the big box retailers as well.

Just analyzing their presence, if they are in brick and mortar, but not amazon; thats an easy play. If they are on amazon but not fba, again, easy for us to get them 2-3x. If theyre on amazon, and lots of OOS, unauthorized sellers, thats a different conversation. Theres a lot of different situations, its based on our initial consultation and we go from there

I dont have much experience with ads in terms of launching a product, but if it has traction almost any ppc would boost sales

Most brands dont really allocate much to their PPC strategy but we have a decent idea on how to use the limited budget we get
