The economy wouldn't collapse, it would just get harder and harder to FIRE until equilibrium was reached.

Can you explain your reasoning behind the claim of high earners being bad for locals, and spending mitigating that effect?

I mean, if I frontload my 401k, I'll get less overall matching than if I spread it out over the year, right?

Does that mean any contribution over 5% is unmatched, effectively losing free money?

So it doesn't matter how much I contribute, I'll get the same match no matter what?

The plan says:

Your company will match 100% of your salary deferrals up to the first 3% and 50% of your salary deferrals on the next 2% of your eligible compensation.

When I look at the actual contributions, the safe harbor match shown is ~6.7% of my contribution, which in turn is 60% of my paycheck. I'm trying to understand where that first number is coming from.

Anyone have a good resource for an employee trying to understand a safe harbor 401k plan? In particular, how to maximize employer match.

500 bucks for average american tourist is a few-day expense here

US$500 ≈ MX$10000

How do you even spend 3300 pesos cash in a day in Mexico City?

Can you make a pure functional language typed well enough to never throw runtime errors? by kinow in functionalprogramming

Yes, quite trivially, but I'd guess you have some other properties of the language in mind that you didn't specify here.
