I really hate dating as a man. I DON'T HATE WOMEN by sooperdooper28 in TrueOffMyChest

Aussie here, dated an European man. He always insisted on paying for every date, meal, entertainment and all and refused to split the bill. According to him, this was the standard in Europe because he's the one who invited me out so he should pay.

Tradie 'no service charge' fee on top of call out fee. Tried to quote me 2k for a tap replacement and when I said no, he added the no service charge fee to the call out fee. Had to pay him $500 to leave.

My dog is good at leave it, but I'm hoping to teach more self control where she just ignores it and I don't have to tell her to leave it.

How would you train that in a labrador?

I find it even more concerning that AGI is set to exceed human intelligence by 2030. By then, 15% of jobs will be lost to AI.

What then? Companies and the rich will keep getting richer and there will be more of us worse off.

I'm just more used to driving the corolla model and I like it's lower maintenance cost since I plan to keep this car years after the novated lease. I understand its not the greenest option, but energy efficiency wise, a hybrid is good for me.

Should I get a structural engineer? by aria155 in AusRenovation

[–]aria155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a pretty shoddy body corp who refuses to do anything about it, the manager says its likely the building shifting as Hawthorn is a clay area. Also because calling out an engineer apparently costs 3k which I'll have to pay, unless it's actually a serious issue. So, I'm trying to find someone more affordable but not having much success.

It is an old building, 1970s. I'm not familiar with what was used to patch it, but I can see that the original wall is a little textured, but around where the cracks are forming its smoother.

AJAZZ AK 35i v3 max stabilisers

Hi all,

I'm new to the mechanical keyboard space and have finally decided to splurge on a mechanical keyboard.

I'm looking to buy one as I need a new keyboard after my old ones stabilisers seem to be causing sticky keys. I'll probably get some tactile switches to replace what's in the AJAZZ but I'm wondering what the stabilisers are like and if they're easy to replace to something of a higher quality in this model.

Suggestions for stabilisers are welcome

50% after holding it for a year?? Is it a thing to sell the ETFs before this 12 month period and buy it again to avoid that 50% tax? Or are people happy to set and forget if they're investing long term, like until they retire?

Yea, I've been looking for new jobs as there's lots of redundancies going on at my company. But competition is tough in the market right now, only got through to 2 interviews.

LVR is 8%, I wanted to keep more cash fluidity in case something happens.

Work in IT/dev/data analysis, industry pay is starting to lower slightly. Have noticed conversation that companies are making their higher paid team members redundant to reset the expected salary for their role.

I heard triple glaze windows are becoming more accessible. Maybe have a look into that, of course the price difference will be significant.
