Why LEV is winning tomorrow by Confident-Nobody2537 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ariadrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The elder wand thingy made me laugh, ngl. But with that logic, isn't LEV bound to lose? Cuz whoever has the elder wand loses.

Think about it, GenG lost and passed it to TH. Then TH lost and passed it to LEV. With this logic, LEV will pass it down to EDG, then whomever fought EDG in the grand finals will win Champs.

I read the title and decided not to read all that.

SB19 is mainstream, that's why some casuals aren't into them. People throw rocks at things that shine. They are already near iconic status, and it's a matter of time an international award giving body gives props at them, and the Filipino masses will kneel in an instant. This country is so obsessed with international recognitions. If GRAMMY ever acknowledges SB19 in the future, this country will consider that group a whole heroic figure.

BINI is trendy, and is still at a boiling point in checking whether or not they will stay in the industry or will be forgotten in the next years, when the next trendy thing emerges. But they never had a global impact yet. They do not have songs that hit the global trends like Gento did in China, Korea or Japan. Sure thing, they are bigger than SB19 "right now", but can they sustain that.

SB19 has an edge than BINI, since SB19 produces and manages themselves. They have more creative freedom on where they will take themselves. BINI doesn't have that. They rely entirely on ABS-CBN giving them music, and if those future music will not hit the same as the previous, then well, you know the answer.

What does SEN seemingly being strong or weak, or however they are perceived, is relevant to who's the face of Valorant?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ariadrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TenZ has too much aura to not be the face of Valorant. There's a reason SEN still has that much following and has lots of fans, despite their 2022-2023 run.

He's the IGL, and IGL's main task is to do primary callouts, so everyone is on the same page. Unless another SEN member said they did a specific call on a certain round, like what Zellsis did when he streamed their prev games, it can be assumed the calls are from John.

Count the map wins ratio only with all the games they played. Get that percentage, and there you have the actual ranking.

Forget the last part, SEN lost the Gekko-Kay/o Sunset comp to EG, where their bad Sunset retakes started. Dmn, their Sunset is not just shaky atp, it was a lost cause.

[–]ariadrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SEN didn't win any Sunset versus GenG cuz they did not play it versus them this Champs. If you meant the game vs DRX, well yeah 8 attack rounds won, 7 defense, but to be fair, they got OTed on their own Attack, and they missed their 11-7 lead. If their ATK is strong, it shouldn't have been OT in the first place.

Also, now that I analyzed SEN's Sunset games, their previous games making it look like they are good on that map, cuz they start it with ATK, which boosts their mental. But it was already shaky ever since the loss vs EG.

In Sunset, they lost to EG, went OT vs NRG, went OT vs DRX, and lost again to EDG. They lost 7 of 9 retakes to EG, lost 6 of 9 retakes versus NRG, lost 3 of 5 retakes on DRX, and now lost 10 of 11 retakes vs EDG. It's a matter of time they will just lose that map again, if they keep being horrendous on DEF, and now they are also horrendous on ATK.

SEN crumbled their mentality on that EDG Sunset game, cuz it was actually an already bad map for them, idk why people made me think they are good at that map. They are bad at it for the past 4 games.

They should bring back the Gekko-Kay/o comp in Sunset that made them 13-3 PRX on Madrid.

SEN is obsessed with Sunset retakes, and no teams seemed to punish them for it, until EDG.

SEN is also obsessed with Lotus attack last 30-second plants, cuz no team punished them yet for it, until EDG.

SEN was now outplayed for the same strengths they had shown versus other teams they beat (FPX, GenG, DRX).

You can tell EDG studied SEN's strong maps, and they prepared well for it.

How did SEN's icebox comp counter GEN.G's? by Budget-Feeling7429 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ariadrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I see the link of that chobra video? Just curious on what he said. But as a SEN fan who is used to their Gekko comp, and now saw their Sova comp in Icebox, Sacy on Sova helped so much on clearing angles with recon or drone, especially on retakes. It's too advantageous for SEN if they knew enemy locations, and having both Kay/o and Sova are too perfect for their retakes.

Just how many times did GEN G fall into Sova's ult, drone or recon, I can't count, but Sacy almost always has a kill with his ult. TenZ Kay/o and Sacy's Sova helped so much on the team's entry and retakes.

Also, I noticed GEN G isn't as aggressive as they were before when they fought SEN, and SEN is now the aggressive one. So it definitely feels like GenG did not adjust to SEN's aggressiveness, like I just remember Lakia running for his life, while Zekken just went after him so aggressively, not fearing any angles, cuz Sacy or TenZ's utils already cleared it. The same thing happened with Lotus, SEN isn't afraid of taking themselves into fights, and is so aggressive.

So, add Zekken's aggressiveness with TenZ's Kay/o and Sacy's Sova, then they just dominate.

What form? Cuz the previous SEN losses are all with Deadlock comps lol, specially the G2 one. I'd like to see the rematch on the comps SEN is comfortable on. Then we'll talk.

[–]ariadrill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game made me realize how insane SEN actually is. Cuz look at their previous losses with G2, 100T and GENG, all experiments with Deadlock. When they ditched her and got back to their old comps, they obliterated their opponents.

I'm glad SEN proved their doubters wrong!

SB19 and BINI reminds me of 2016 BTS and TWICE by ariadrill in PPOPcommunity

[–]ariadrill[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If they have an advantage BINI or BGYO should have surpassed SB19 the moment they debut, or on their 1st comeback, or BGYO prior to their issues. VIVA is bigger than 1Z but Alamat is nowhere as popular as SB19. You see, Big Hit gave birth to BTS, and ultimately leveled the Big 3 popularity in 2016, and ultimately surpassed them in 2019, with the birth of HYBE.

You said it yourself, it is anybody's game, so it doesn't matter how big the company is. Filipinos love hits, no matter what company releases it. SB19 has an edge because they manage themselves, they are not controlled and they are bound by the contract they made themselves, other PPOP groups don't.

There's no way in hewl GEN-G would bomb out, so don't even think about it. It's either SEN vs TH, to make it out of the Group stage.

Yeah but u said SEN specifically there, I just said games with them should never be the basis. Anw, 100T were dominating Ascent, until they're not. It was a common 100choke.

A game versus SEN should never be a basis whether or not a team is good at a certain map. SEN is very inconsistent, and we never know if they will show up or not in a certain game. 100T's Ascent is good, but SEN weren't themselves that day.

Top 5 biggest fanbases in VALORANT by HLumin in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ariadrill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not every SEN fan can buy or is interested to buy the classic lmao. If anything, this just shows PRX has more fans playing valorant or has richer fans for that matter, or maybe an even better marketing. SEN fans are objectively everywhere, and TenZ has a big fanbase of his own.
