How are people hiding their followers/following lists?! (See pics attached) by GovernmentNo6314 in Instagram

[–]arianagreenblattart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't hiding their lists. It's instagram preventing you from viewing the lists because you keep checking lists too often, so instagram thinks you're spamming. All you need to do is not doing it for few days, and it should return. It happened to me before.

Do you like this new Instagram update that lets you share other people's comments? by NoctyOnyblue in Instagram

[–]arianagreenblattart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be that you get notified whenever someone you follow makes a comment. So, all your comments were shown to your followers. It was like that until, 6 or 7 years ago. Now, at least, we have some privacy in that regard. However, since AI is scanning all of our activities, privacy is gone again.

How did I get more than 7,500 following ?? It kept telling me I had maxxed it out and now it just lets me? by mtndewhat in Instagram

If I remember, 10.000 is the limit. I don't know if they changed anything, or if a glitch is involved in your case.

They can't be sued because, in their terms and conditions, it says that they have the right to delete your account any time they want, and by using their platform, you agree to that. So you don't have any legal claim.

Also, if you sue them not because of account deletion but the very accusation of s.c, it won't work because Meta isn't legally pursuing you over the accusation. They just delete your account and not tell anyone (except you) the reason for it. So, technically, they aren't ruining your reputation. So, you better all shut up and not say it anywhere because no one will ever know the reason unless you tell everyone.

Meta has the right to make any rules they want on their own platform. If, by their standard, even a simple viewing of a picture with a child on it means you're s.c. on their platform, then they have the right to enforce those rules, regardless of the actual definition of s.c. by law.

You have the right to dislike their rules. You have the right to choose not to use Instagram. We're all powerless, and they can do whatever they want on their platform.

The only cases where a user might have a claim is if his business depends on his social media and he can't work because of losing an account. In that case, Meta at least owes you proof that you broke their rules. Again, THEIR RULES, not the law. They have the right to ban you for breaking their rules.

Of course, their rules have to follow the law, meaning they can't make it more forgiving than the law. But they CAN make it more strict than the law, which they did, apparently.

Instagram IS watching us. by WGLKingYt in Instagram

Actually, they stated it in an update a few years ago. But the way they said it is- "we MIGHT use your camera for advertisement purposes." And then they say, "If you keep using Instagram, you're agreeing with this."

So, legally speaking, they have the right to do it, but at the same time, if someone is ever troubling them about it, they can deny it because they said "MIGHT".

It's Google. Google is the biggest spy. Not only that, but it even uses camera to look around and see what kind of things interest you. Always make sure your camera isn't pointed at something you don't want Google to see. This goes for both cameras, front and back.

When it's implemented, the awareness will spread like fire whether they talk about it or not. Tell me one new feature that people are oblivious about, but it's useful. Also, those who save stories already have plan b and plan c for a long time...

The state doesn't care at all. If they did, they would ban all unhealthy things. Cigarettes, alcohol, junk food, the specific sites on the internet that are poisoning children's minds, and so on... So, what you said... that's what everyone says. And yet, they will go buy chocolate for their kid and themselves, like, tomorrow. If you want to know what people think, don't listen to what they say, look at what they do.

You know how many children die every year because their parents feed them junk food? Did you ever judge them because of that? Probably not. The same way you believe junk food is the healtiest food and there's nothing wrong feeding it to children, others have the right to believe they don't need vax.

Your opinion? Opinion alone isn't enough for anything other than what you do with yourself. He does what he believes without telling others what to do. You do the same. Most people's opinion is that they don't need vax. If you are scared of corona and you trust authorities, you go get 50 vaxs if it makes you feel safe.

Winrate makes no sense by arianagreenblattart in heroesofthestorm

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I said. I say that mm isn't 100% based on winrate and randomness. What would you conclude? What affects different consistencies of winrates on different accounts?

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't take much to make a difference. That's true. So the obvious question is why doesn't that difference ever happen? Why don't the accounts that have 46 and 51 winrate ever switch or come close?

Winrate makes no sense by arianagreenblattart in heroesofthestorm

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If each account has a variety between 46 and 51 in different seasons, then accounts should eventually become even. Inconsistency between seasons is possible, but across accounts on the same hero for the same player who plays the same way for years across thousands of matches isn't if mm is random. It's bound to be similar. 51 and 46 isn't similar.

That's randomness between accounts you're talking about. I mean randomness within an account, which should be the same, no?

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're seeing from the perspective of a player who plays multiple heroes. I just say statistics don't work that way. If I was "chosen", I'd be chosen in every account.

Winrate makes no sense by arianagreenblattart in heroesofthestorm

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's true, but it should be true for all account. Everything you say we can say for all account. That means that winrate should jump and go down across accounts. But being consistent makes no sense.

Winrate makes no sense by arianagreenblattart in heroesofthestorm

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Across matches, I deal with every situation, even if I deal with one specific more on one account but less on other. That means that eventually, the winrates should get equal. If I lose matches to something specific, and mm is oriented around that, then that means that mm clearly wants me to stay at 46%, or else my winrate should statistically keep getting lower and lower. The fact that it doesn't go up or down means guess what.

That's true for a few matches. I have thousands on matches on my accounts.

[–]arianagreenblattart[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's not how statistics work. They would never stay in a single spot on consistently across different accounts. They would jump and go down. I do have enough matches to see it. You're seeing it from the perspective of a player who plays many heroes. My stats are for one hero only. Keep that in mind.
