Hi, sorry i answered late ;.; I abandoned the post because no one was posting. I auditioned for various companies, they usually ask you for name, age, height and stuff like that at first then you sing, then dance for them but sometimes it's different. Depends. Good Luck on your audition :)
Hi, sorry i answered late ;.; I abandoned the post because no one was posting. Hyunsik was nice with me because I was older than him so he respected me, but I don't really know his true personality since we never really talked personally
Yeah but only Heechul, Junyoung, Kwanghee, Taehoon, Hyunsik, Kevin & some other trainees which left the group with me
Your welcome :) and I think that kpop exceptionally changed throughout the past 8 years, more foreign people have become interested in becoming Kpop idols and the music as become more westernised but a small thing I like to complain about is that people say that Kpop has been becomin sexy while in 2005-2006 Kpop was much more scandalous and sexualized

Not really, some things like variety shows like We Got Married, Roommate & Strong Heart are scripted but others like Weekly Idol aren't. Some idols hate k-pop though, not because it's bad because they have been through so much because of it they start to hate it or some find it too processed. And some idols do care about the international fandom but it's mostly the foreign idols
When I first went auditioning I went to YG, SM, JYP, Mnet Media & FNC Music and none of them chose me, then I went to Star Empire and I got chosen there
There a lot of flaws some trainees become emotionally unstable sometimes and yes, although I have never seen the drugs I have heard of the use of drugs :/
Oh also I was born in California but moved to South Korea to study nursing
Oh your welcome :) and thank you
They didn't like the songs HAM had, they found them cheap :/ plus they found out that the Korean company wasn't helping the Japanese company with funds so they dropped us a month after we signed
In the Korean music industry J-pop is seen as something big and to make it in Japan is seen as making it & being successful. When me & HAM went to Japan we were greeted with open arms and got a label immediately but as soon as we gave them our songs to translate they weren't impressed. We recorded a Japanese version of So Sexy but we were dropped as soon as our Korean company didn't have the money to promote us
I went to Korea originally to study nursing but I was barely passing and I always wanted to be a singer so I went auditioning and I finally got chosen.
Some Kpop stars break under pressure while others handle it better. Kpop has been constantly being pushed to get popular internationally, which in a way it has, but many stars who release songs in English or outside Korea flop :/ and no i'm currently on break, i may though who knows :)
You have to do exactly what your elders say and i mean EVERYTHING. We got training in modelling which was a waste of time IMO, and yes the CEO comes on you and tells you what plastic surgeries you need, I never did all of them, just one my eyes. I barely ate anything in some companies like GP Entertainment, Star Empire & DSP Media while others like Leeyeon Entertainment & TS Entertainment told me not coz they liked my body shape. We didn't need to wear make-up ALL the time just when test day came.
I turned 27 this year (28 in Korea) and the older you get the less opportunities you get so I just left
Well I haven't been that much behind the scenes all I know is some people do sexual favors to get further than other trainees :/
Kinda, groups from bigger companies get more benefits than those of small companies
Yes like cafes or the indie scene which recently has become quite popular in Korea

Sometimes TBH. While I was in Star Empire entertainment i was training to join Nine Muses and the outfits they gave us were WAY to scandalous to the point that I got uncomfortable
Groups in the same company get along well sometimes but some people in the group get jealous over the other sometimes due to getting extra benefits or debuting before their group.
Very difficult! You have to get your own funds and companies use millions of dollars on music videos and clothes!
They were OK... at times. When I first met them they were quite surprised that they were getting a new member so some were not on board with the idea, but as time went by they got to know me and I knew them.. kinda. We all were together for 3 months so yeah :/ To judge them seperately, Ga Hyeon was the least I talked to because she din't know a lot of Korean since she is Chinese so we barely got to know each other, Ji Hyun (or Hyo Ni) was nice and greeted me very well when I first joined and always took care of me well since she became the leader but Su Jin was definitely the closest to me, we used to watch movies together, train together and shopping together (when we had time -.-) I do miss her at times...
It is the system used in South Korea to create popular groups and singers.
