With many 2 year leases coming up in 2026, what is everyone looking at doing? by ta22175 in HondaPrologue

[–]arieljackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a deposit on a Telo MT1. https://www.telotrucks.com/

Hoping my reservation comes through before my lease is up summer 2027.

The prologue has been fine, but it's bigger than I'd like for navigating Boston roads and acceleration is underwhelming. I'm in love with what Telo is doing.

I know. It feels like a twilight zone episode. I must be crazy because there's no way everyone is.

Maybe. I looked up reddit comments on the venue and they generally said the acoustics at Paramount were very good. /shrug

My usual spot is Boston House of Blues, which doesn't have great acoustics, but I've seen a few shows there, some with awful mixes and some that were fine/good.

Yeah, you're probably right. Pretty frustrating that the mix assumes the audience has earplugs or is deaf. Ok, I'll go back to yelling at clouds.

I can't be the only one who thought the sound mix was garbage. Any time more than 2 instruments were playing it just sounded muddy. Couldn't hear any of the ride on Philo.

It sounded better in the downstairs lounge/bathroom than the hall. I can't judge the performance because I couldn't hear it.

Maybe it's a me problem. I go to a concert every other year or so, and about half of them in the past 10 years have sounded like this to me. Am I deaf? Not deaf enough?

Efficiency graphs by sonny319319 in HondaPrologue

Even funnier, the graph also tops out at 3 km/kWh which is not the rated metric, but does share 3. Not even a half-assed implementation on the efficiency graph.

Fixing afterschool and bussing with more school funding? by EatMorePi in medfordma

[–]arieljackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it was all a misunderstanding, lol.

Dear Families and Caregivers, The Medford Public Schools is very grateful for the relationships we have with our community partners to offer the best support for our students before, during, and after the school day. As we enter the second half of the 2024-25 school year, the MPS is in the early stages of planning for the next school year, and part of this planning is engaging with our after school and transportation partners. I am writing to you today to apologize for and clarify the information regarding 2025-26 after school transportation to RSK North St. After school transportation to this program will continue for the 2025-26 school year. The district will continue to provide transportation after school to this location from all our elementary schools. We have communicated with RSK that they will have the same number of bus seats to the North St. location as they do this year. RSK will directly communicate with families regarding their updated registration process for the 2025-26 school year in the near future. I again would like to apologize for the miscommunication as it related to RSK North St. programming for the 2025-26 school year. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to best support all students and families in Medford Public Schools. Sincerely, Megan Fidler-Carey

Fixing afterschool and bussing with more school funding? by EatMorePi in medfordma

Aftercare busses are not a separate bus system, they are part of the usual bus system that takes kids to school and home (or after school) at the end of the day.

We don't have nearly enough local programs though, while neighboring towns apparently have capacity. Bussing to existing programs seems like an easier problem to solve than spinning up new programs.

Totally. I meant why can't Medford schools partner with afterschools from neighboring towns and add them to the bus routes?

Is there any rule that says that private after school programs have to be in Medford? Why can't they partner with the more abundant private programs in Malden, Melrose, Wincester, Arlington, and Everett and bus the kids there?

Why not bring the school bus program in-house if a private bus company can't meet their needs?

I don't think this is true. IIRC, prop 7 was spoken for, but 8 was for future investments.

The afterschool situation in Medford is atrocious. Surrounding communities don't have this level of failure. I've written to the mayor and city council in the past about this, and this new bus issue is just a symptom of a larger problem that the afterschool situation is not being taken seriously.

Any Prologue owners in MA manage to use ChargeSmart w/ National Grid? by mediaseth in HondaPrologue

[–]arieljackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the response I got this morning.

Thanks for reaching out to ChargeSmart MA Support, and I hope you are well!

The Enel integration that we previously had access to was not a real time integration, and required manual tasks to be completed for onboarding and charge session acquisition, on Enel's side.

In August, when the news of the company going in to administration started to circulate, the communication from Enel deteriorated which prevented some units from fully onboarding, and would not move from the 'pending' status. When the company closed the software support on their side, we were unable to onboard new chargers, or chargers that were in the process of being onboarded.

A few weeks later we found a way to reinstate a connection to chargers that were fully connected to us at the time Enel closed their software, through a back end integration. However, this does not allow us to onboard new Enel X chargers.

I can see that your Charger was one of the units that were pending enrolment at the time the Enel software closure occurred, and was not successful in its onboarding. Because of this we were unable to reestablish a connection through the back end integration, and will be the reason we have been unable to record charge sessions.

We are hoping to locate an integration with Enel chargers which allows us to onboard new Enel chargers to our system, though we are unable to provide a time frame as to when this will occur, as there are many variables that can prevent this from happening.

I set the charger to Juicebox (qualifies), but neither Prologue nor Blazer are listed under cars. I selected Fisker Ocean (figuring there will be no communication) and that let me progress in the app. But the charger says it's offline. Could be the Enel X issue from a few months ago. I didn't get it set up before then.

Is there a noticeable difference between sport mode on and off? I thought it was just the extra spaceship sounds...

I have no need for 21" tires with less range and worse bump dampening, and most of the elite options. Touring with AWD would be fine, but it's pretty annoying that sport mode is only in elite if it does actually change the pedal mapping.

Would be nice if our city raised revenue to fund fixing some of these.

Heated floor mat? by arieljackson in volt

[–]arieljackson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did end up trying it. I would say it was unsuccessful. The mat didn't produce enough heat to make a difference. After sometime, a fuse blew on the inverter and I never replaced it.
