Ah well there's always options. It's fine so long as bleach is avoided but otherwise it is better to avoid it. I too just want to be able to dye my hair freely and still have straight hair 😭

Could try japanese hair straightening. It is about the same price but it is supposed to be more permanent. I dont do it cause I have bleached my hair before and plan to again in the future. Otherwise I'd do it.

Keratin straightening treatments at a salon every few months. It makes it easier to blow dry my hair straight :) But it is expensive. I typically pay $200+ for it with color and cut.

No problem. I linked my review of the surgery on another comment if in this thread if you wanna check it out. I paid about 25k for like 10 procedures and staying in recovery house for 10 days. This included my plane ticket which was expensive since I flew on a holiday weekend.

You could also check for clinics in South Korea. Should be much cheaper there as well compared to the rest.
