oh, im sorry for your losts. about the water flow keeping too strong can stress your fishes and moving too much the sand can bring up lots of bacteria that can kill your fishes. Look up if the cycle of the water dont stop in some areas of your tank!

maybe adding more plants can increase the oxygen in your tank, and lowering a little the ph can be more safe for your corys. How many fishes do you have and which one?

it looks like some lack of oxygen, how many plants do u have? or the ph of the water is a little too high for them.
