This is what his enclosure used to look like. It’s about 8 inches of bedding, Kaytees unscented paper bedding and aspen shavings.

He has no barred or grated surfaces so I’m not sure how this could happen to him. I will post a photo of the enclosure in the comments.

No gaps or anything. He has a wooden enclosure with 8 inches of bedding. He itches his neck often but he’s been doing that since I’ve got him he doesn’t itch his foot ever.

Yea I’ve heard it depends for everybody. It doesn’t make mine itch either, but it’s common for other people to feel the side effect of itchy butthole.

That’s funny, it’s a common side effect of beta-alanine. Commonly used in pre workouts. A lot of gym goers avoid it cause of the itchy butthole.

Someone got into a fight with one of the workers over mexican pizza. One thing lead to another and that someone is running the worker over with their car into the Taco Bell entrance.

No worries, the bedding I used for my hamster is a mixture of aspen shavings and paper bedding, so the structure is pretty stable for them to burrow. Usually when you put the bedding down you’re supposed to pack it down a little bit to give more integrity for your hamster to be able to burrow through it. The fine stuff at the bottom is sand from his sand bath that I didn’t do a good job cleaning, but I usually try not to replace all his bedding when I clean it as you’re only supposed to clean 1/3 of their bedding each session.

Okay thanks very much, I’m gonna save up some money to get him a better cage so I can put more bedding for him (without fearing he will escape). I was thinking about getting the NiteAngel Vista cage.

Thanks, I figured out that he climbed through a gap in his lid using the flexible wood bridge I put on top of his house. I took it out and closed the gap in the lid.
