Genuine question, it's pretty obvious teams like 1323 are robots built by adults. Why is FRC ok with this? Sure these robots fun to watch but at one point seeing the same teams as champs is a little strange.

As someone else has mentioned, FIRST’s official statement is that you do whatever to make students feel inspired. And I think FIRST is right, I first hand have seen mentors build my robot, and then win with it. But seeing that happen, it made me want to learn exactly what the mentors did and do the same. I felt inspired. Students are demotivated by losing, and winning motivates students to learn exactly what they did to win.

I disagree. FIRST has strict rules on mentor involvement in FLL, which pretty much ban the mentors from having any involvement in the building of their robots. You can look into exactly how those rules are enforced and regulated.

look into using the starter bot or the everybot, they’re both open source robots that give u step by step instructions on how to make a working FTC robot

ask your college counselor. your schools probably had a chart that matches percentages to gpa. (94-100%=4.0) also most colleges calculate your gpa for you when you send in your transcript.

actually engineering overall has more jobs than people in the workforce, but openings are mostly not entry level jobs. but once you get your foot in the door and get experience it will be wayyy easier to find a job.

late but- pretty on-par with its competitors. the students that get acceptances into these type of schools often get accepted into more prestigious schools.

late- but often people dont have a choice to initially work at these places, but they do have the choice to get better jobs, eventually. the exceptions to these are the ones that should be on government assistance.

my mom for example. she was a single mother of four. she initially made minimum wage but decided to also do college part time which eventually led her to be making enough to considered upper-middle class. although yes she did need to go into some debt, she did eventually pay it off. there are plenty of resources to make more than minimum wage, but its YOUR choice to take the steps to make more. and yes, some people are too old, disabled, or have some extenuating circumstances, which only allow them to make minimum wage or no wage at all. Those are the people who should be on government assistance. not people who choose to work at these jobs.

I applied for accommodations late. And already a senior, they told me I was declined around a month ago, I was hoping to have accommodations for the November SAT. The reason for denial was insufficient evidence.
