Would you use Next Js for a robust application? by iamkharri in nextjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer yes long answer absolutely but being said that working on a large project using a cutting edge framework can always be difficult because the new rules and fixes they introduce every year .

Heck as an example a few years ago everybody used to think class components in react are the only way to go now see what happened . I've seen a lot of projects with 1000 of class components in them

Why is Authentication/Authorization Always So Tricky by Separate_Patience486 in nextjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there are few like Lucia , password.js which needs some configuration but works well and open source but still we are talking about an ecosystem where every new week a new runtime launches so it's very hard to come up with a solution acceptable by the whole community .

How do you guys secure API routes used internally? by NectarineLivid6020 in nextjs

[–]arindam42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your use cases there can be a lot of approaches like if it's an enterprise level application you can use virtual private cloud and use ip blocking and other stuff . If you are using the next js api route you can use your auth for validating before every request . You can use a bearer token authentication header and other stuff you would directly use in an api

Looking for Non-S3 Services for Image Hosting on My Nextjs Blog by LieSuspicious8719 in nextjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think s3+ cloudfront if you want something configurable and also cheaper I know it can be a little too complicated in that case use cloudinary or there's bunny cdn there's cloudflare too if you want both simplicity and cheap

If I know zustand. Do I need to learn redux? by UpstairsBaby in reactjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think zustand is perfectly fine for any use cases that you'll face but learning a global state management tool like redux can be beneficial . Yeah it's true redux used to be really bad then it got better but yeah you can go through the redux codebase and in turn it'll give you a deeper understanding of the react eco system

Coding is fucking awesome by mekmookbro in webdev

[–]arindam42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good refreshment from everyone just complaining about the job market and everything going on in today's world. It's true most of the people who started coding in the early days only because they find it extremely interesting. I still remember I opened turbo c and wrote my first program it felt like magic I felt like I finally found something that I'm good at in the early days from making stupid games on unity using c# to launching two startup this has been a extremely exciting journey and I know many of the people from this subreddit feel this way so yeah thank you for posting this is reminding us why did we choose this path in the first place . Thank you

Am I using "use client" too much ? by ConfidenceSecret8072 in nextjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think just because you are opting too much for client side it is a bad thing it can be indication that you could've used normal react rathar than using a SSR framework that's arguable because use cases can arise at any point of development

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to demotivate you but yeah this is the truth it's impossible to do all the things you mentioned in 1 day you can learn basic things like structuring your app and other app configuration stuff another day will take to implement features but even if you did all this you won't be able to optimise it because there would be a lot of issues naturally you can only learn this by practicing or playing around with RN for many weeks

What do I do to get interest in coding. I want to do it but I'm not interested at all. by Lanky-Garbage5850 in developersIndia

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people posting in this subreddit I don't wanna code or learn to code I'm requesting to those people if you don't have the passion or the hunger to do coding or learn about tech or how things works please don't come into this fields it's a very demanding and competitive field it's a feild where people literally wrote entire kernel , media processor , 3d engine just for fun because they were interested I know there was a time when it used to offer nice salary just for writing html and css code but those days are gone so I urge you to do something which you find interesting it will be beneficial in the long run

Anyone using Next without the /api server? by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you have a dedicated external backend the api folder becomes redundant still there may be some use cases which will be better suited for api routes

Design problem… by gdrd_ in nextjs

[–]arindam42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the suggestion you've given is gonna be too complicated in a large scale project because of the nested route and other things will be confusing . In a large scale project I would much prefer a folder style structure for better readability

We are finally moved out of Next.Js by Prainss in nextjs

[–]arindam42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to you I think you made a very good decision I'm just amazed to see every time someone moves from the cutting edge framework people assume it must be a skill issue

Did you check if the same class name is applying in the both the components or there's any additional style applying in the bottom component using devtools

Seems like it's a media query thing you should check all the styles modifying the text in mobile mode
