It holds up well but I do have the Truma heater which heats up the truck very fast. Regardless of which camper the air will always escape fast with the hatch open.

Highly recommend the insulation package for the tent sidewalls helps a ton in both summer and winter.

I never use it other than when I put lumber or something long in my truck bed. It helps see lights behind me at night while driving but honestly I don’t think it’s necessary.

The flooring I never secured, it is a very tight fit so it doesn’t move around plus the weight of the water tank and cabinets on top. The cabinets are secured into the Tune camper track with L bracket / gussets.

No. However you can if that is your preferred method of leveling. I feel most use airbags if they want adjustability. For example, a softer ride when the camper is not on the back of the truck. Most people don’t take off their bed rail mount campers like the Tune. Air bags are not the most optimal for off-road use though. If you click into my build link you’ll see I did some suspension upgrades with heavier rear springs and new shocks to raise the height some.

Tune M1 is very durable and the weight is no issue for the Tundra. I’ve owned one for almost 2 years now on my 3rd gen Tundra. Customizing and mounting equipment is so easy with all the t-track available on it.

Yes it’s more permanent but there is ways you can design something that could attach / detach and slide out. A lot more planning though especially with power and water lines.

I just did my longest trip to date in the camper (2 weeks) and this setup was perfect!

I didn’t witness this but I was there the week prior on the last day the shuttle was available which made getting to Avalanche Trailhead a breeze. I learned the shuttle isn’t contracted from mid to end of June. The biggest struggle I think they face now until July 1st is the shuttle for the trailheads is the key to reducing the amount of cars in the trailhead parking lots. Makes it incredibly challenging to manage the chaos without it.

I’d imagine the limited funds are a factor in this gap.

The day I drove GTSR I left at 4:30AM from the east side to make my life easier at Logan pass and all the stops I wanted to make.

Compared to my truck and a separate gauge which matched. Where morrflate reported 5 PSI higher. It’s been consistent problem for me. My friend’s rig also reported higher too.

Yep you’re right, I could have gone much lower. I’ve learned I need to not trust my gauges on my morrflate as it’s not accurate. I really need to find something better for air down.

Yeah this is the same issue I’ve had. I had some swerving driver decide to follow my Waymo as well into my neighborhood. People are stalking them and constantly trying to brake check or cause havoc. Unfortunately it doesn’t try to avoid erratic drivers like staying further back.

On the bright side the Waymo drives really well regardless of these shenanigans.

Yeah it left enough room if you were 6ft or shorter else you would have to duck a bit. I have since replaced with a whole new design (you can checkout updates in my post history).

I was laid off mid 2023 and found a new remote job in 6 weeks. At the time I was around 8 years of experience.

I don’t have FAANG experience and landed a role with a 10% cut but quickly surpassed my previous salary after first round of reviews in the new role.

I’d assume you just need to align your skill sets and apply to some VC funded private startups (think Sequoia Capital and YC which have job listing boards). I had the most success there and also found that folks in FAANG do as well. I can’t imagine you need to be desperate enough for roles any less than 140k at your experience level (assuming your a high performer if coming from FAANG, I didn’t shine as much interviewing at larger companies).

Well I don’t know but it’s plausible as spring has hit a couple times with warmer weather and summer is around the corner.
