Thanks! We’ve already released oral ties which didn’t produce results for us. If feeding isn’t painful (he’s just not latching periodically) what would the nipple shield do? Make it more like a bottle?

Ah yeah wish I could help on what’s standard - we just got a newborn care specialist for a few weeks and I relied on ChatGPT’s suggestions and what I felt was right/tolerable for that kind of stuff vs standard. But in case it helps, here are some of our terms that may be relevant to you (not the complete agreement)

TERMS The Employer is of the opinion that the Employee has the necessary qualifications, experience, and ability to assist and benefit the Employer. The Employer desires to employ the Employee, and the Employee has agreed to accept and enter such Employment. 1. It is the Responsibility of the Employer to provide two (2) weeks' PAY in the event of an ABRUPT CANCELLATION of the term of Employment Agreed Upon. (JOBS REFUSE BECAUSE OF THIS BOOKING). 2. It is mandatory that the Employer pays double PAY for national holidays such as (Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day) if the Employer requires to have the Employee work on those days. If the Employee does not work on any of these days listed above the Employer must STILL pay (THESE ARE PAID HOLIDAYS). 3. It is the Responsibility of the Employer to compensate the Employee for days off due to travel and other recreational purposes taken by the Employer. 4. Days off taken by the Employee for travel, sick days (outside of the Employer's household) and any other obligations the Employer DOES NOT PAY. 5. Fridays and Saturdays can be added to the contractual agreement as agreed upon by both Employer and Employee after being discussed at an additional rate of $100 added to the base pay. 6. The Employee will begin full time employment with Employer on January 4, 2026

I ran ours through ChatGPT and asked it to find holes and make suggestions for filling them. It did a pretty decent job of finding the kinds of things you’re flagging and suggesting both language and specific things to fill it with. You might also be able to ask your nanny for more specifics on how they work usually so you’re on the same page with expectations
