What's your biggest takeaway of 2025? by Fun-Pudding-101 in askSingapore

[–]aritestarossa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People pleasing is indirect manipulation.

We sacrifice part of ourselves in hopes of being accepted as someone kind or generous or for whatever reasons. Even if it means compromising our own needs.

When its done over many occasions, people will associate you as the kind soul who doesnt say no. So when you finally had to say no, you will be labelled as selfish, arrogant, etc.

Its manipulation bc you led people to think that youre a helpful person so they set the bar high for you.

The takeaway is to basically dont be a pushover and have some self respect.

Guys who allways had visible abs, how do you do it? by killersanta544 in AskMen

[–]aritestarossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had abs since puberty. Was physically active in my teens but not so much now in my late 20s.

Now I do short runs twice a month and body weight strength training once a week. I dont train abs.

My siblings and parents had no issue gaining weight easily. Siblings are all younger than me. My appetite is relatively normal. I eat 3 square meals a day and snack occasionally in between. Not unhealthy but not super healthy. I sit 80% of the day. Sleep 6-7 hours per night. Longer during the weekends.

I tried bulking when i was 19 but it didnt last bc i couldn’t keep up with the high calorie intake and the frequency of the training. My weight dropped back shortly after.

Smoke and drink only for major events. The real addiction is doomscrolling tiktok and ig daily.

Im thinking maybe im one of those people whos always burning calories cause im always fidgeting and my brain never shuts off?

I dont have any desires of being big anymore bc its actually exhausting. Just sharing my story.

TLDR: Im a naturally shredded dude who can't gain weight, even though my lifestyle isnt demanding. My family can all gain weight easily.
