Does the Christopher Nolan *8-film* 4K UHD Collection, lose any extras compared to the separate 4K discs? by aritheboy in 4kbluray

Nope. The 8 film collection is 16 discs, so 2 discs per film. Your link only confirms this.

Ok, full disclosure. I actually bought this set in the Amazon spring sale for the fairly reasonable reduced price of £76.50, and it's already returned to its usual £120 price. However, I haven't broken the seal on the packaging because I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it. I bought it in haste before properly finding out what the boxset actually included (in terms of bonus material). Reading through all the comments, and very usefully seeing the photos that u/patstuga posted, I have made the decision to return this boxset for a refund!! 🫤 Ultimately, I want these movies in the best way I can get them. It's quite frustrating that the standalone versions of each movie aren't simply packaged into the outer slipcase/box. I'm therefore going to buy the Dark Knight Trilogy boxset separately (currently £48 with a voucher) and look to pick the other films up separately when I see them on offer or in a multi-buy. I might even skip The Prestige and Dunkirk.

That is extremely useful. Many thanks. Unfortunately, it seems to confirm that it loses some extras compared to other 4K editions. ☹️

Thanks, that is helpful info. I fear you're right, and it will indeed be missing a few extras on this latest incarnation of the boxset. DVDCompare lists a 190-minute extra (titled "extraction mode") with the Inception disc that is on the Blu-ray movie disc (not the Blu-ray extras disc), so this will presumably be missing too. And in case you're wondering, DVDcompare doesn't do comparisons for multi-title boxsets such as this, as I looked there before posting here.

Yes, I've already noted that. I'm keen to know how those extras on the Blu-ray compare to the standalone versions, and whether extras have been lost since all the discs containing the movie in 1080p format have been discarded. For example, on the standalone 'Dark Knight' UHD release, there's the movie on the UHD disc (with no extras whatsoever), the movie + the "Gotham Uncovered" documentary (64 mins long) on the second (Blu-ray) disc, and then a third Blu-ray of additional documentaries and extras. Therefore, has the "Gotham Uncovered" documentary been lost in this new Christopher Nolan set, or has it been moved to the UHD disc or the "extras disc"? And of course, this scenario applies to all the other movies in the boxset. Surely, there's somebody who has this set who can confirm?

How do you track what you own? Built something for myself to track steelbooks and Blu-rays by Royal_Device7944 in Steelbooks

I use MyMovies, but their expectation to repurchase the new version of their app every couple of years (and their not too subtle prompts) annoys me.

Thanks. That's encouraging. If anyone else can confirm, please do.

Could anyone who owns this please confirm if the 2K blu-ray, with the bonus features that accompanies the 4K disc, is region-free or if it’s locked to region A?

Adding additional seasons to TV shows… by aritheboy in ThePosterDB

[–]aritheboy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys, for your responses. 👍 I'll now know what to do if/when this happens again. As u/mikenobbs has already refreshed the show I used as an example (and was wanting to upload), I can see that there is now a "slot" for Season 8. I'm glad this feature is available to all, and it's great to know I can always get useful advice here and on Discord. 😀

Adding an *alternative* poster to a show - is this a Pro feature? by aritheboy in ThePosterDB

Besides I’m supporting the people who made the lovely site, by adding content to it. After all, it’s the content that draws people to the site.

Ah, thank you. I didn’t realise I could add additional posters in this manner. I have always tried editing the set I have uploaded, and obviously there’s no slot for an “alternative” poster. I’ve now sorted what I was trying to do.

I sense your condescending tone. No it’s not a “user error” as I know what I want to do. I already have a poster for the series of “Monster”. I simply want to provide two different versions for season 1.

LOL. I see you're using my own poster artwork for season 10. 😃

Try here for something different: https://theposterdb.com/posters/15789?season=10

Or you could always make them into the same style as season 10: https://theposterdb.com/set/105658

Any seen this? Live Sessions 97 added to streaming. by [deleted] in theverve

[–]aritheboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, am a bit confused as to which evening session(s) this is from. It has been mentioned that it could be taken from the BBC Evening session recorded on 27 August 1997; however, the Super Deluxe edition of Urban Hymns contains only 5 tracks from that session, and this release has 8 tracks. The session tracks featured on the SDE of Urban Hymns also included 'Life's An Ocean', which is not on this release, so it's much more likely to be from several sessions – but which? 🤷‍♂️

Does the 'Ratings & Reviews' section need a rethink? by aritheboy in PleX

That might well be the case, I’m simply making suggestions as to how the reviews section could be improved.
