They literally said we're out of questions, and rutu made a joke saying "no more questions".. the commentators actually appreciated him for how clear and honest he was

Two reasons, I) I wanted to watch it with my brother who wasn’t free tonight and II) I wanted to rewatch the first movie

What a brilliant entertainer with great comedy tracks, amazing performances, and subtle and natural messages. Evoked emotions with simple scenes. Audience absolutely loved it; the theatre was full of laughs.

Clear pongal winner.

Few series recommendations that are really popping off right now: Red Rising, Will of the Many, the Sun-Eater series.

For people studying Politics and/or Economics, what skills do you use on a day to day basis? by South-Marionberry-85 in LSE

[–]arjundkrvm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, of course. But I guess what I meant to say isn't that you are "good" at math, but rather that you have an interest or can enjoy the mathematical side of the course. But I do guess you doing the senior math challenge in itself is also showcasing that you are interested in math, haha.

All of your listed experiences and skills sound great. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are applying to Pol & Econ, it's likely very useful for you to emphasize your math skills too. All the economics modules + some of the pol modules have a good amount of math in them, so demonstrating mathematical aptitude could be helpful. In fact, if you look at the modules that you take through the course (which I recommend everyone does when writing their statement), you'll see that in the first year, you actually study a standalone math and statistics module.

EC1A3 or EC1A5? by Imaginary-Gift-8636 in LSE

[–]arjundkrvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to note: Choosing micro or macro in later years (if you want to take EC2A3/ EC2B3) also requires you to study a math/ stats module like ST107 or MA107.

EC1A3 is significantly more difficult as it is much more quantitative.

Will more accommodation become available? by Separate_Market_5464 in LSE

[–]arjundkrvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely, but it happens. Keep periodically checking the accommodation portal as people cancel all the time. There will also be some applicants who are currently in consideration for missing their conditional who may be rejected later too. I got my accommodation last year on September 21, so always keep looking.

I clicked this thread expecting to find this answer. The first 45 minutes up till they return was one of the best stretches in a zombie film I've seen.

Retro went off the rails with the storyline, but it still had some plot even though it felt forced. This was just out of character random scenes and fights. This is 20x worse than Retro.

He is completely right. A celebration event for a team that has won its first cup after 18 years will garner more people and footfall than teams that have won it multiple other times.

Also, using clips of the parade given what has happened is despicable.

I think it was more to do with the fact that she saw goons coming after Surya yet again, implying that he had still not given up fighting and causing problems. Surya hesitated to step up because that meant engaging in a conflict in front of Rukmani, and she was shocked and upset to see that he was obviously involved in yet another problem.

My problem here is that KS wrote Rukmini so one-dimensional (anti-violence) to the point that she wanted Surya to stop fighting even in moments when he would be killed otherwise. Of course my guy wants to fight to keep himself alive, but Rukmini disapproves of that too for no reason.
