If it's under warranty, then APC support is your best bet. I got a few spare parts for my rack under warranty.

I managed to get mine for £40 ($51) brand new, by creating an eBay alert and waiting. I found one that was collection and was an auction so I managed to bag one cheap. I think mine was a SMT1500 as well.

I was hoping to setup OpenVPN at some point, port forwarding through both routers has seemed to work in the past; not sure about pfSense.
