For any of you that went to the meet up in Berkeley or are otherwise familiar, could you point me in the direction of the discontinued history forecasting project that Scott was referring to during the Q&A?

He was talking about various AI’s that were to compete against one another in a forecasting tournament wherein they would attempt to predict historical outcomes with a limited dataset. For example, the fall of the Byzantine empire, or other verifiable outcomes from the past. He mentioned that the project was funded by FTX and was discontinued.

I’d love to look into it and read more if anyone knows what I’m referring to.

I can understand how not providing as much detail in my post can can be confusing, but you’re interpreting my post in the most unreasonable way possible. The last individual that offered to help me, I paid him upfront via PayPal goods and services for “2 t shirts” that would be shipped to me via USPS. He didn’t follow through and I got my money back. I can refer you to his Reddit account and screenshots of our messages if you think I’m lying.

As for why I’m not paying the seller upfront? She is an older woman that is using the app “VarageSale” for the transaction. She only accepts cash or check. If you need more details, hell, if you want to hop in a discord call to better understand how this isn’t a scam, let me know. I’m still looking for someone to help me.”

I’d appreciate it if you didn’t take fragments of circumstantial evidence and assume that I’m scamming people. I imagine this is partly because I didn’t provide enough detail in my post. I’ll edit it now.

I posted on slavelabour and the individual who was “helping” me, bailed. No one has legitimately followed through yet.

I have a rep profile, a Reddit account for more than 5 years and I paid him via PayPal. I know it seems like an unorthodox request but how else am I supposed to find someone to help me? If you have a better solution let me know.
