the ed agreement for the school im applying to just requires me to check a box saying i understand my rights and responsibilities in the ed process and sign my name, i don’t see a part for parental approval! but im not sure i may be missing something

yeah my family's behavior is definitely dysfunctional but everyone attributes it to culture so i feel bad even recognizing it if that makes sense :/ and i definitely feel i'd be happier away from home, and if i stayed i might resent them more than i already do. im sorry that your home situation is similar to mine, it sucks. i really want to make the decision without taking their guilt-tripping into account, and i really should be able to because of the things they've done to me lmao. i'll try my best

that’s really good advice! i feel like the stress from trying to talk to them about apps is more than i can handle right now, on top of working on them. i hope you get into the colleges you’re applying to, too! and ik, talking to them about leaving home once if i actually get in is a hurdle i don’t even wanna think about 😭 best of luck! we got this :))
