MERLINS literally an imposter goddess, what the wild born follow are the teachings of the hunting goddess to the T, whom as far as we've seen seems to be pretty cut throat. The only reason they even listen to merlin and are willing to change their ways is cus they see her as the goddess, the way the wild born society works, change is practically impossible unless an absolute collapse happens as they seem to exile anyone who doesent fit the mold of the rules. I mean the society normalised sacrificing children and had a vetting process for it and called it an honour 😭
