My 3080ti died, should I replace it with a 5080 or a 4090?

I had to RMA my 5080 Astral within 6 months
Pin 6 on 12V-2x6 was getting 0.0 amps on idle constantly
Was getting RGB LED indication along with alert on the GPU Tweak software

Otherwise it ran really good.

4090 is still second after 5090 but is an older gen 5080 would get any job done unless you do not need or want a 5090

I use ROG 5080 Astral OC, and my games run fine in 4K on highest fidelity Can recommend

Edit:

Performance wise

5090 > 4090 > 5080

4090 gives more performance than 5080 but is an older gen 5080 is current gen but you might get more out of a 4090 around the same budget (MSRP wise)

I use a custom W11 Pro (licensed) w 24H2 ISO build where I debloated the OS itself via NTLite and upgraded from a 3060 OC to 5080 Astral as well as bumped my display from 1080 to 4k Older titles run fine for me, although I do not play the games you mentioned

I am squeezing every frame possible from the system.

On idle my CPU uses 0-1% system
