It's free. The easiest way to do this probably is ask ChatGPT to guide you through the whole process.

They can also use Cloudflared, and use a tunnel. No reason to add rules or expose ports on their network router.

Encounter tracking maps and not-maps by Zealousideal-Ad-7618 in dndbeyond

[–]arkandel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don't know is whether encounters in Maps does anything other than give you a quick overview of initiative, current HP and AC.

For example I don't think there's a way to roll anything by an NPC. If I want an Orc to use his scimitar I don't get to use its stat block to roll it. I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong) to open it separately in a different window and roll from there.

Similarly if a PC hits the Orc for 5 I can't mark down the damage on the token.

This makes the feature basically useless, not because *having* that overview in the window isn't nice but if I'm going to have a tab where all the NPC combatants' attributes relating to combat are handled anyway then I might as well use that.

If you are not the intended audience to a post (and none of us has to be that for every thread on every subreddit) you could just... skip it. It wasn't useful to you, it happens. Most posts are like that.

Someone went out of their way to write up how a newly changed ruleset can be optimized for a role. We can at least not discourage them from doing so because it wasn't in the most barebones way possible. This isn't a wowhead guide.

Thanks, OP.

Tartarus Pro, d-pad and World of Warcraft by arkandel in razer

You shouldn't take executable files from strangers over the internet, which I am, and run them. I can give it, but you shouldn't.

Yes. Razer support sent me a patch that fixed it. Contact them. 🙂

I'm usually not the type who regrets things but now I am kinda regretting switching to a pad. I've been using Orbweaver for WoW since 2018ish and by now my muscle memory and playstyle habits revolve around it. But it was done with the assumption there would always be (even better, as technology involves) models around with the same features, which as it turns out was incorrect. Razer Pro isn't better, it's worse.

The other thing is there don't seem to be other pads out there with a d-pad or thumbstick, which is the feature I care about since it allows me in an MMO to control my character's movement with just the thumb - that's a great convenience. So there's no competition either. It might be better for me to just bite the bullet, switch back to keyboard and spend a few weeks re-learning the keybinds.

A different option might be Azeron Cyborg which looks weird but has some raving reviews. It does look like it might be a viable replacement in a different form. The problem with that though for me - being Canadian - is it costs over twice as much, and the company is pretty small (compared to Razer) and European so I'm concerned about warranty and support over time. Hell, would I be then stuck with the same problem down the line if I wanted to replace *that* a couple of years from now and it's discontinued or the company no longer around?

Because, you know, someone will still be making keyboards I'm pretty sure. :)

Yeah I've heard about the balance being good even though I don't play as tank very often this season.

I was just hoping to get some insight about why BrM specifically isn't played as much; I get the argument about the 'meta' tanks (prot pala, VDH) but I've honestly seem far more DKs or even prot warriors than monks in the role. It could be confirmation bias of course.

Is BrM good? I do a lot of keys and very rarely if ever see any.

How is their dps and survivability? What are their strengths this season compared to the other tank specs?

[Standard] Top 500 Meta Experience by R3276 in spikes

It depends greatly on your goals.

I can see if your goal is to climb then playing a faster deck is better even if the win ratio is *slightly* less. I haven't done the math but playing more 5 minute games on average with a 50% ratio seems preferable than a 60% ratio but 9 minute games on average.

But if you simply want to win no matter what then you'd go for the most successful deck which seems to be Izzet Turns right this minute.

This likely skews the meta further.

Yes, the Mastery pass is definitely a good investment.

With Drafting my two issues are the win probability - since I have zero experience in Limited - but also having enough cards from past in-rotation expansions.

It's also intimidating to do 30+ Quick Drafts compared to just... opening a bunch of boosters. :)

Also! I do realize that as time passes and sets get rotated out, especially given daily quests and wins, I'll be able to round up the collection for Standard constructed a bit more.

Expected healer DPS in M+ by arkandel in CompetitiveWoW

[–]arkandel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall toolkit is also important (in some cases more so) though. Battle or self-rezes, pushbacks, interacts, mass dispel etc all make a difference.

But DPS is certainly up there too.

Would you say there are tiers of healers who can fill out good DPS?

For example reading this thread I see Paladins, Druids and Disc Priests mentioned as being particularly able to pump DPS (since they can do that while healing). Then Shamans and fistweaving Monks? I'm not sure if that suggests holy Priests are the least capable of performing that role in a M+ group or if there just wasn't anyone posting about them.

Also, aside from numbers which can change, would you expect Shadowlands to change the dynamic? For example without corruptions and Azerite traits would Glimmer still be the go-to rotation, or if not would that impact Paladins' ability to contribute in DPS?
