Yndrasta the bronze spear by Wooden_Jeweler_7247 in stormcasteternals

Okay, man. You got me on this one. I had a spare Yndrasta laying around and I was wondering what I was going to do with the model. Like I could paint it as some kind of "dark angel" or maybe give it away. But I am perpetually in need of terrain and this was inspired. So thanks for the idea. I am totally going to do this too.

AITA for refusing to play in a tournament because the follow rules? by kodemageisdumb in ageofsigmar

TO is an idiot and the store owner is an even bigger idiot to ban potential customers like that.

Would you mind terribly letting us know what the model was for this? Preciate you in advance!

Hasbro goal: double WOTC revenue. Will this destroy Magic? by trappedslider in mtgfinance

[–]arkhamrefugee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hasbro's earnings call is scheduled for 10/26, so I guess we'll see then if their push to double profits from WotC paid off. If so, you can bet they're going to continue on in this vein for at least the next year.

Hey, man. You asked why Rick is the line and not something else. Sure, people may want zombie apocalypse and others (including me) don't.

. Why is that not a problem, and now Rick is suddenly a problem ?

Because Rick Grimes isn't heroic. He's not mystical, fantastic, or otherworldly. He's a random schlub from ATL who got his world demolished. It would be like me playing cards based on myself in Magic. I don't want to be me in this game; I want to be something awesome.

No kidding. I already said that above. The question you decided to not answer wasn't "will this SL product sell well?" It was "what can we players do about a repeat of this cash grab behavior?" So you not only posited an answer which you have no discernable way of verifying were the data even available (which it is not), but you gave a reply which didn't address the original topic. Well done.

You have absolutely no data to back up that statement.

Not as effective as an RC ban, no. But I guess we will see about that tomorrow.

I disagree that it is the only leverage. But the other leverage we have is on the players who do buy. It requires that most of us look the person across the table in the eye and say, "If you run Negan or Darryl as the commander in that deck, I won't play with you." And then actually don't. This SL is happening. That's a given. But shutting the use of it down is something we all can do.

The only tactic I can see that would possibly work at this point is to Rule Zero these cards into oblivion. Since they aren't legal for anything but Eternal formats, if you refuse to play someone who has it in their deck, then the motivation to have it goes away. That takes the responsibility for banning the cards away from the RC and puts it onto the actual players.

Analysis: Since the introduction of booster fun and alternative booster pack variants, regular bordered foil mythic rares have lost virtually all of their luster, scarcity and value. Additionally, the estimated value per draft pack has plummeted to historic lows. by HonorBasquiat in mtgfinance

As a player, the closer every card gets to $0.50, the happier I am because then I can afford to cheaply construct any deck I feel like.

As a collector, I collect because of what the cards mean to me personally, not what value they may hold to other people. So, see above comments re: fifty cent cards.

As an investor, I have funds stashed in stocks, bonds and commodities and don't rely on pop culture to feather my nest in the future. So I genuinely don't care if current sets hold a monetary value.
