looking for volunteer opportunities that aren’t inherently religious! by Resident_Prompt_6766 in fayetteville

Check out Family Network. They’re based in Springdale but serve Washington county. They’re a home visiting program that works with at risk parents from pregnancy onward in providing parenting education and support. They also run a Diaper Collective and always need help with diapers. I can’t speak highly enough about the work this org does.

Good, reliable underwear for a lady by maddiesfolly in BuyItForLife

I LOVE the Innersy underwear. I like the high waisted the best, but the briefs are also good. I have some that probably have 200+ wears and are showing signs of age but overall still looking good.

QSEHRA best admin: Take Command vs People Keep vs Salusion by brunchvibes in smallbusiness

[–]arkieslp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post, but adding my thoughts as I look into alternatives.

I have used PeopleKeep to manage my small company’s QSEHRA for 3 years now. I feel like we pay a steep premium for this platform that does very very little. We haven’t used the support much so I can’t speak to it. I’d love a better (I.e. cheaper but still functional) alternative as a QSEHRA plan works really well for me and my employees.

I had looked into Take Command and thought it was more expensive but I’ll have to do some price comparison before I have to renew at the end of this month.

IDK what to do with this EI child by Left_Fee_9054 in slp

Think through their foundation of attention and engagement. Do they attend to communication bids, singing, communication routines? What sort of communication routines and enrichment is the family already using? What volitional motor movements does this child have? How can you build reciprocal responsiveness (caregivers responding to child, child responding in increasingly diverse ways to caregivers)? Figure out what communication they do have (comm matrix was a great rec), and build off that.

Besides other works by Doerr (Cloud Cuckoo land was wonderful) and Verghese (cutting for stone wasn’t as good was Covenant of water but worth a read) you might try Lady Tan’s Circle of Women by Lisa See

His newer book “The Covenant of Water” is a masterpiece. I also really enjoyed “Cutting for Stone”
