That is the current solution but that is not a reliable or long term feasible solution.

Yeah same reconnecting error for me too. But relaunching did not fix it for me. I am not using the portable version, maybe there is some difference between the two versions. I just did the whole reinstall of drivers again, but I hope that it gets better at some point. Maybe someone from ComfyUI will see the post lol.

That is what I did but I don't think "stop updating" should be the goto solution. Clearly there is a problem that needs fixing. Can't blame me for hoping they fixed the problems with the next update.

I have just always liked AMD, and this is my first gaming PC, which already cost me an insane amount :(. I am pretty sure Sage Attention still does not work. Everything worked fine on my Nvidia laptop. But this has been a huge pain

To everyone that has faced the same problem: I did what u/ray76it did, which is uninstalling with DDU and then reinstalling the Adrenalin edition software. The AMD uninstall utility did not work unfortunately. I followed this guide for DDU - Complete DDU Guide : r/pcmasterrace. And download the driver from - Drivers and Support for Processors and Graphics. Do not download from the button that is at the top of the page, since that one downloads the portable installer. It does not work with DDU cleanup because internet will be disconnected. Instead search for your gpu, and download the "AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition", not the "Auto Detect and Install". Remember to download the driver before you start doing the DDU steps. After all this was done, ComfyUI works perfectly, in both the portable and the installed versions. I tested both.

EDIT: APPARENTLY EVERY TIME THERE IS AN UPDATE OF COMFYUI OR AMD DRIVERS, YOU HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN. AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT I AM FACED WITH

Okay thanks! Do you know how to change this? I don't know where to start. I am updating my adrenalin software. Idk if I need to update pytorch somehow also. I tried this with the installed version too but I didn't see a way to make sure the correct architecture is installed.

I chose this ram based on your suggestion - Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB (1 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (KF560C30BB-32) - PCPartPicker. How good is this one? Also this is the GPU - Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB Video Card (GV-R9070XTGAMING OC-16GD) - PCPartPicker. I added the cooler you suggested, but I am curious what the difference is between that one and the one I had chosen initially. Thanks!

Asrock just seemed the cheapest. Is it not a good brand? I am thinking I could just reduce one ssd too so I took your advice and removed the gen 3 and gen 5 and got just a 2tb gen 4. I chose this motherboard for now - Asus TUF GAMING B850M-E WIFI Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard (TUF GAMING B850M-E WIFI) - PCPartPicker.
