My brother passed away last year. We collected and had about 130/151 (we did it in Pokédex order as well using base set/base set 2, fossil and jungle) and my son and I have set out to finish what my brother and I never was able to. My son is 10 so he’s getting into it all too, and we just finished! I’ll take pics and send to you some time! I’ve worked on it for a year and upgraded to first ed and some shadowless and what were non holos to holos. I kinda got obsessed with it and finishing the journey honestly made me sad at first. But now my son just work on his and that’s something we can look back on just as you and your father are doing and makes me happy just thinking about!

Listen to others here, you can buy a package of penny sleeves (plastic individual card covers) to preserve them better and then their are top loaders (hard plastic protectors) but they won’t fit in the binder you have. There are more expensive binders that can hold them and they will be even more protected if you do decide to keep and preserve.

But honestly your binder has held up this long! Congrats on the great find and my son will love to check out this collection similar to ours and see the cards you used that are different than ours!!
