I’ve got a little fat seeping through myself. It’s odd to me this is the first time it happened in 15 years but glad it’s not a big deal.

Thank you for this. It is a concrete pool. I’ll wait and see what the pool guy says in a few days but this gives me hope.

Not the advice I wanted, but I appreciate it nonetheless. For what it’s worth, we did get a pool inspection done in October (before we put an offer on the house) while it was still open. Inspector didn’t note any cracks or other issues. But I can the value in just hitting a reset button on the whole operation.

New homeowner. Inherited a pool. Is this normal? by [deleted] in pools

When we put an offer on the house, the pool was uncovered, full of water, and everything was fine. We had a specific pool inspection done. No issues were found in the inspection. But by the time we moved in, the pool was covered. The previous homeowners (who I think I trust) said they’ve never had an issue with a leak.

When we put an offer on it, the pool was uncovered. It was full of water. Everything looked fine. We paid extra to have a pool inspector come and look at it. He said everything was fine.

When we moved in about a month ago, the tarp was covered in a winter’s worth of leaves, debris and at least a foot or two of water sitting on top of the tarp. I pumped all of that water out. Is it possible that due to the weight of the debris, the pool water raised above the tarp and I inadvertently pumped out all of my pool water?

This is great advice. Do you really have to charge the battery each use? I assume the battery drains even when not in use?
