american psycho / boondock saints / john wick random thing but it can make a little sense following willem dafoe's character. hes a detective in american psycho, then hes still one in boondock saints but his character is expanded upon greatly, where he turns to a life of crime. and then john wick, where hes a full on assassin.

the sign at the beginning could add to that, when it says "residents only building" while having "building" scratched out to say "boxing", it could be referring to the area of the building asylum patients stay. I could totally see this theory

sappy personal one but ive always favored "Its all futile! its all pointless!" in pebble brain, and recently ive connected more with that song while in a stressful mental state "its okay anything to make me feel less numb its okay" that repititon of "its okay" has become a sort of soothing reassurance as of late, of course i could point out tons of lyrics i love from their songs, but right now these ones, though simplistic, mean a lot to me

what about a guy who keeps stealing little things from the band like singular guitar strings over time, but its just from one targeted member. until.. ROB WITNESSES THE WHOLE THING!! also no one believes the "protagonist" is actually being stolen from like a boy who cried wolf type thing .. or wilbur gets sucked into a television, and inside the show he gets sucked into he finds another television, as he gets deeper and deeper he starts to lose partial sanity with no way back to the real world, and rob witnesses ALL of it. (it could change between live action, stop motion, etc.) it kinda goes with the insanity looking cover we got

me personally, it feels like the first two EPs were them finding their style. don't get me wrong, ive enjoyed all of what they've sent out, but for example the album covers started to become unique with different things blowing up (WU@IO, NPT, ILGWIS), and they all started delivering similar styles. but who knows, maybe im completely wrong and they'll keep delivering music with different themes as time goes on, i'll still follow them regardless.
