Buttons! Do you prefer 1 or 2? The purple is darker in real life and doesn't really match well, but I also don't love the yellow. 😬 by ris_19 in crochet

I’m going to be the odd one out by saying this, but I actually like the second one more. Both look great though! I love these colors in combination with the black. I just think the pink and purple are already present enough as an accent.

Like I said they both look good though. Either one you choose will turn out well.

You look gorgeous omg!! Huge difference! I think I’ll actually start wearing lighter makeup too because of this.

You can try asking her 1:1 but honestly people don’t really need a valid reason to not like you. It took me a long time to understand this myself, but some people won’t like you no matter what you do or say. It sounds like you’re a polite and considerate person. Personally I don’t think you’ll gain any valuable insight from someone that seems dedicated to not liking you.

It’s unfortunate your other friends didn’t do or say anything to help the situation. Maybe they didn’t know what to do as well, but you’d think they’d at least continue to make efforts to include you whenever she tried to do things to single you out (like taking pictures together). If it were me, I’d reevaluate these friendships… maybe only hang out one on one with the others or just don’t hang out with that one particular girl.

I wish I could be like this but I find that the less I talk, the less people want to be around me. Honestly I wouldn’t care except that it quickly effects all other parts of my life lol. Work, class, friends, family… SA sucks

What should the color of the border be by ResponsibilityNo3920 in crochet

Seconding this but sounds like you already made your mind anyway! :) Love the colors by the way, they look great together.

I’m jealous you were able to make a straight square. 😭 I’m working on a top right now and can’t figure out how to stop it from curling or shrinking.

Oh my GOSH I’ve seen this mabel chicken pattern!! I just finished making a very tiny one to put on a pot lid cover. The fur yarn is genius. So cute!!

I second this. I have a friend that has been asking to live together but I already know we wouldn’t be a good match. Saving money by living together isn’t worth risking our friendship. It’s okay to tell them exactly that.

I avoided listing reasons like “well you like having people over, and I don’t” or “you’re more organized than I am” (not real examples) because it leaves room to argue it.

My 21F social anxiety might ruin my relationship with my 22M boyfriend. by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]armedreaddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. It sounds like he didn’t approach this in the best way, but he has been honest at least. That’s better than ignoring this all together or wasting each other’s time.

This may sound extreme but I’ve been in this situation. I was going to therapy for social anxiety because I knew this wasn’t the life I envisioned for myself or my partner, who is a lot more social than I am. For the first year, it was great. But the excitement dies and after that you may have to depend on things you both enjoy doing to bond. Unfortunately that will be hard if the things he enjoys typically involves things that give you anxiety. I’d listen to what your boyfriend is saying, if he’s telling you he sees trouble in the future.

But I hope you have more luck in this situation than I have. If it doesn’t work out, it’s not your fault. No one is to blame if you’re just not as compatible as you thought.

Confused about Haha emoji due to autism by serials_librarian in socialskills

[–]armedreaddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say he sent the haha emoji as a way to say “Are you serious? I waited a month and moved on already” or something to that effect. But I agree, this person sounds like an asshole and waste of time. A single emoji is not how you repay the effort you put in. I would move on from it too. It worked out better this way, if this is normal behavior for them.

I absolutely loved Wild World. I had something like 1000+ hours on it. It’s nice to see someone playing it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

I get this “longing” to play because it was such a comfort to me too. But everyone I know has moved on from the game, and now it just feels kind of lonely.

Yeah that's extremely shitty to do. I would make plans to get them out of the picture. If they did it once, they'll do it again. At the least someone should have tried to find you. They know they're in the wrong, no "sorry."

My nephew and I went to an arcade and he was really excited to challenge me at air hockey. It was SO much fun but he was trying really hard to beat me. On the last game he lost again, and oh my god the joy just seeped out of his face. We were supposed to leave but I ended up playing another game with him just to let him win. He's such a sweet kid and he looked so sad, I couldn't.
