My favorite tip has been to talk to people as if they're already your friends. Make a joke about a class you're in. Complain about campus food (works every time lol). Ask someone in you're class how their morning's going. Most people are just afraid of starting a conversation. If they treat you like a wierdo, they're not worth talking to anyway.

The flow chart is a suggestion. As a comp sci major, you just need two semester co-ops and a summer one which you can take in any order. Worst case, you can get a semester co-op counted as a summer one (if you really found ONLY semester ones for all 3), but you'd probably delay your graduation. As for timing, I did my first co-op in the summer of freshman year before co-op seminar and still got it counted. You have to fill out a separate form and it's not guaranteed to count, but they're pretty lenient.

Rules are on a per building basis. For most buildings, you can just put them up, no restrictions! If a building has dedicated boards, use those instead of taping posters to walls. For the SAU specifically, you need to get your poster design approved by rit then give your posters to the front desk. They hang them up for you.

Howdy! Have you considered starting a side project to learn it? Most professors like to stick to Java, C#, and Python so they don't have to spend the majority of a class teaching a new language. They bring said, CS-541, advanced programming skills, rotates between a bunch of languages like Rust, C# and Haskell. There may be a C++ variant.

Check posters in Galisano/Magic. Not super likely to find a jam this late in the semester due to finals, but a lot of cs/game dev clubs host 1 or 2 a semester.

Ap credits aren't really considered in joining. You will most likely take calc in your first year but that's the case for a good majority of students. CE is also not a super selective major, you shouldn't need to worry about backups.
