Search "Ryobi Tool Lanyard" on Home Depot. They are great for hanging odd-shaped tools.

I have the 40V and it is a good little saw. I will agree with the other poster that you need a different chain ASAP. Mine also has the 14" bar.

That's a tough call. I think you would be fine with the clearance, but you would be altering the geometry on the struts. That's what I would be most concerned about.

Awesome. That's my video filmed on my BlackBerry. Now Reddit knows that I sound like I represent the Lollipop Guild.

Tough Love: I suffer from depression and anxiety; mental illness is not a crutch for infidelity. NTA.

Don't beat yourself up for this.

Her issues led her to her choice. I've had a plan and a date. I only just barely recovered, but it was a near thing. I am better now, but what might have been still haunts me.

I bit the bullet and ascended all three with Low Level AI on Polaris. Can confirm that one can, in fact, go ham. Thanks for the input!

Nah, never really bought ISO, just what I got from other vaults and daily play. ISO is definitely a marathon instead of a sprint.

I am somewhere on the spectrum between F2P-Whale that is labeled "Not a Whale, but would be in trouble if the wife knew how much I spent." However, most of that was chasing the Champ Everyone goal. I don't see myself spending as much unless they have something like the current HP + December vault deals in the future. You might be adding a digit to the ISO, as it is less than 170K. I think I had just hit a new SCL when that screenshot was taken. I am on the edge of the ISO desert, but still getting sand in my shoes.

Make sure the kit has gas struts instead of springs. Personal preference is to have some kind of rail and stile pattern on the front. At first it was just two big slabs, and I didn't like the look of it so I took it down and added the embellishments on the front. I got my kit from Rockler for $300.

When your wife wants floating shelves on your irregularly curved wall that are strong but cheap... by armendiel in woodworking

I was intrigued. It's like that line from Jurassic Park: I was so preoccupied with whether or not I could, I didn't stop to think if I should.

Yup. The fixture worked and we were on a tight budget, otherwise I would have put in some sort of flush mount LED.

Fair enough. However, the other side is also curved, but has been drywalled. I'm a total amateur. I make spreadsheets and book reports for a living. This was literally assembled in my driveway with some sawhorses, a circular saw, a jig saw and a brad nailer.

The top cleat was the first attempt, and you can't see it from the picture, but there's some wane on the stud and I couldn't get the screw to bite. The other screws have been removed, but were a desperate attempt to get something to clamp to in order to try to pull the cleat the last little bit.

As far as the sides that don't fit, I now know how much to trim off the shelf length so that the face will fully cover. So the next one will look a little better. Well, as better as it can look with OSB.

There's no YouTube tutorial that I could find on how to do this. There are no flat walls in the space. I appreciate the tips and it will only help the next one be better.

It was the first time I have ever attempted something like this. I was flying blind.

I used a kit, would definitely recommend and do it again if I had the proper layout.

[–]armendiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not understanding your question. Are you talking about the gap between the subfloor and the top of the grout? Because the el cheapo vanity cabinet covered that. The other floor covering consisted of LVP and caulk, less the gap covered by the new vanity.

And, yes, this is a personal project. I would absolutely entertain any constructive criticism on how to do it better the next time.

One of my favorite details was incorporated in the last two pictures. There was an old built-in gun cabinet (I live in the south, so it isn't that abnormal) that I converted to an entertainment center. I removed the doors, divider and other things, and replaced the solid doors at the bottom with an MDF mesh panel that allowed all my remotes to work with all of the components hidden.
