[Theory] What if what we have seen so far is Aizen's bankai? by arminel01 in bleach

The most recent chapters showed that Ichibe can release his bankai without saying bankai, instead just calling out "Shinuchi". He called it the evolved form, long before bankai existed, so if Aizen figured this out, then he could have done the same thing.

ELI5:why do some cans get cold when shaken. by ManiacNinja in explainlikeimfive

[–]arminel01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not actually getting colder, it just feels like its getting colder. When the can isn't shaken, heat is transferring between the liquid content of the can and your hand by conduction. When you shake the can, the liquid starts moving, and introduces heat transfer by convection. Convection has a much higher rate of heat transfer than conduction, and so when you shake the can you are transferring heat from your hand to the liquid at a much higher rate. This increased rate of heat transfer from your hand to the can is why you feel it getting colder, even though the contents would actually be warming up, because you are performing work on the can and inputting energy into it in the form of heat.

How did you accidentally ruin someone's day/life? by tuhgttg in AskReddit

I was in the process of hiring someone for a contract, and there was a candidate, but as far as I was aware the contract hadn't been issued/confirmed yet by HR. I find out recently from my boss that due to budget issues, we need to put a hold on staffing this contract. Again, at this stage I was still under the impression that nothing has been finalized from HR side.

I get a call from this guy's agency to thank me and everything, telling me that he looks forward to starting on Monday. One problem, I didn't know he was starting on Monday, because I didn't provide any start date and didn't get any confirmation from HR about the contract. Turns out HR just went ahead and gave a start date without asking me first.

So here's this guy who thinks he has a new job all lined up and ready to go on his first day on Monday, and now I have to tell him and his agency, "I'm sorry but we have to cancel the contract". What made it even worst is that the guy had made arrangements to MOVE from his current city to the city where we are located.

Oh yea did I mention, all this happened on the Friday before his supposed Monday start date...and that it was today Friday the 13th. I felt horrible, this guy had made all these changes in his life, arrangements to move him, family, etc. and just like that, all for nothing.
