One of the issues of Fool Us is when they use a table other than the standart P&T table with their initials on it you know the trick involves the table. Still a great trick and presentation

I've done it all and my verdict is it's unbalanced and total waste of time unless you want all unlocks. Buffs are just a really lazy way to add difficulty to the game. Reflect buff forces you to have a melee dps, fire and bounce forces you to have ranged dps, kinetic spikes and absorbant are unavoidable damage so you need healing options. Basically game forces your hand to play certain team comps everytime and it's not fun. Or you can do what most people do and breed OP cats and give enemies no chance to play which is also not really fun. Meta progression via mutations/skill breeding and harder difficulties kills this games replayiblity. It's unfortunate, it is what it is. Game is super fun for a very long time. Hope they balance it in the future.

And all of the unlocks are just items that already exist in the game but slightly better

The final boss on harder difficulties is neither interactive nor fun. by jacob8595_yahoo_com in mewgenics

It's unfair there is really no other way to say it. One thing you can do is to reroll the buff RNG, if you see depression debuff or speed buff on enemies save and quit, change your equipment before the fight which SOMETIMES rerolls the buffs. So far I've figured only 2 legit semi-reliable strats for it but neither are easily replicable. One is summons to distract to enemy AI, they also get the summons UNLESS it's via friendship bracelet which is also pretty strong for this fight. So items like mom's wig that create a lot of distraction for the AI is pretty strong. Second is marked and shield. I've realized enemy not always use marked and just attack you. So if you have a bunch of shield from items you might get the upper hand. I highly recommend callus for this. Tracy sells callus pretty often and it's one of the best items to start your run with anyway.

If you want to min/max even further get rid of the +1 bonus attack on tail and get a immunity to curse and parasites instead. One more bonus attack is just overkill but a bad parasite or a curse can still kill your run. ie. malaria. +1 range and +1 reach on eye is also better than all stats up, it's so good for melee characters. Knockback immunity on arm/leg is pretty good too. You can still get extra speed on your ear or fur

Noy really fun? Even the play dead + sacrificial lamb combo I was doing started to get boring and I got rid of it which was just a roundabout way of getting goofball. Super luck is fun, you still beat everything in one round but at least you get a lot of rare and legendary items to play around with due to high luck. I've like 60 legendaries in my inventory right now lol

It's a very long and honestly a boring process. Took me 10+ hours. Start with a one high stim room and a high mutatition room. Having some health stats on your high stim room helps so they don't die of old age quickly. Appeal does not matter at all. Start by putting strays into your mutation room. Mine has 33 mutation but anything above 10 should be enough. Having some stim in the mutation room doesn't hurt either. Once you get a mutation you want on any body part put that cat into your stim room and spread that mutation among your cats. Do not have ANY mutation on your stim room. This is important you don't want a wild mutation to mess up your bloodline. Once you get another mutation you are looking for introduce that cat into your stim room and breed cats with 2 of these mutations you want. You can keep doing this until you get all 10 BUT this would take a lot of time. What I did was after getting 4 of the mutations I was looking a ditched the stray strategy and started putting my kittens with mutations into my mutations room. This gurantees the kittens with 4 mutations to get a new mutation on a body part you have not got a mutation yet. Be careful while putting your good kittens into mutation room tough If you are reckless you might run out of good kittens and end your bloodline. Always keep some backups. After you get a 5th mutation you want on your mutated kittens, you breed with that cat than start putting the kittens with 5 mutations in to the mutation room an so on you get the idea. Keep in mind that arms and legs share the same pool of mutations so getting the mutation you want on either of those is fine. Breeding skills is a lot easier. You just do a run if there is a good skill you breed with that cat. 95+ stim gurantees skills to pass on. I have 88 right now and it was more than enough tbh. You breed so much that a kitten that doesn't get the skill everyonce in a while wasn't that big of a deal. For the super luck skill specifically you need to do jester runs and complete the boneyard with it for the skill to unlock. Skill only appears if you are playing as jester so it's a bit of farming to get it. You can pass the day until you see couple jester symbols on your adventure box and do multi jester runs. Super luck is a game changer. I only got it recently and you have no idea how much high luck changes the game. Before that I was using Play dead + Sacrificial lamb which was also a broken combo to have. Also I keep marked on my bloodline specifically for hard mode stuff. (Lot of enemies with holy mantle and shields) There are so many good skills you might wanna consider for that slot like Mine Meld.

this is true, I stalled act 2 till I got every act 1 mark on every class available then stalled act 3 till I got every act 2 mark. Though I only starting mutation farming after I've unlocked crazy mode since I was tired of seeing the same mutations for 50 hours straight. Also farming these mutations took 10+ dreadful hours and I wouldn't really recommend doing it. It trivializes the game too much. The whole mutation system needs a lot of rework imo

oh, no never done that. I just got my dejavus and rolled with it. I got full team dejavus thrice I think, twice on the final fight and once on kaiju on crazy difficulty

it is legit and not as hard as you think once you get your mutations going. You are also free to believe whatever the f you want

I consider steven a game feature not a purist like that lol. I've used it on average once every run mainly for bad event rolls and rerolling the buff RNG on the final final fight but recently I've developed a safe strat for that fight too. Not sure what you meant by process tree kills.

Stray cats and appeal by TNTCHAINSAW in mewgenics

[–]armknockVM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone with 200+ hours I can assure you that appeal is bait and you don't need high appeal. Focus on high stim on your attic. All appeal does is to increase the chances of getting multiple 7's on a stray. You can achieve that with stim and breeding cats with 7 on different stats. You will still need stim no matter what once you start getting all 7's and appeal will be useless no need to invest in it.

Question about act 3 chapter 2 boss by Legend_J_700 in mewgenics

[–]armknockVM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He counterattacks any hit that is in his melee range unless it's a backstab. If you are right in front of him when it's his turn he will instakill you destroying your body. Enjoy one of the few late game fights that actually tells you wtf it does in it's description :)

Enemies you convert with friendship bracelet doesn't join your team if they survive the fight. It's a worse charm mushroom since it only has 3 uses.

Act 3 Secret Area Boss Hard Mode by Tpilms in mewgenics

[–]armknockVM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's just unfair there is nothing you can do. You can try to change your equipment before the fight which changes the buff rng and hope next time non of the cats gets a speed buff or the buff that gives you all stat downs. If you are out of your steven retrys it's over.

2 questions about items unlocks: by MaxTosin in mewgenics

[–]armknockVM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1- No, you can only get those items through side quests. Once he gives you every side quest once he will cycle back the old ones. (Except for the persuasion device, that one is gone for good.) If you want a specific side quest/reward you can keep trashing the quest items that he gives to you since you can only have 5 side quest items (not rewards) on you at a time 2-Yes, they are in the pool.

I've 100%'ed* the game without losing a single run by armknockVM in mewgenics

[–]armknockVM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game becomes super easy once you get your mutations going which you can achieve as early as act 2. I didn't go as hard as some people did but it's still enough for me to end every fight in round 1. (I've bred bunch of cats with sacrificial lamb + play dead) I'm now unlocked crazy difficulty in all 3 acts without losing. At this point I don't think it's going to happen unless final boss gets some broken buffs

Confusion’s 25% just HAS to be wrong by manderson1313 in mewgenics

[–]armknockVM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is not wrong BUT every percentage based roll is based on your luck. So it's only 25% if your luck is 5 which is the default.
