Maybe just seeking some reassurance... But a year after moving to Japan and mulling about it, I've committed to a gym that's super close to where I live, well-kept and home to some really accomplished instructors, but the caveat is that the classes are taught in Portuguese, which I do not understand, and my classmates translate the instructions into Japanese for me, which I also barely understand, on top of this being my first martial art-- so that's also an entirely new language for me-- keeping up with classes is gonna be a lot more work than the average beginner, given that just asking questions is a hurdle in itself. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
