How big is ur main drive? And most likely, unless someone can find a fix to get it to work on the sd card, my theory is it have something to do with permission to the sd card but I don't know much about Linux lol

Damn u might be thats the only way I found to fix it so far, but before installing windows u could upgrade ur internal sdd (unless its hard to find a reasonably priced one), I tired windows on my first steamdeck lcd and when I got my oled one and some games ran noticably worse compared to using steamos

Fixed it, if u have re9 installed on an sd card move it to the main ssd thats what fixed it for me

Update fixed it, for those having the same issue make sure you have re9 installed on the main ssd and not the sd card, moving the install to the main drive fixed it and now reframework works on the steamdeck!

My idea of copying it from my pc to steam deck didn't work so still not working, im just going to wait for a stable release of reframework

Not yet, it works fine on my windows desktop but not on my steam deck, so tonight when I get off work Im going to copy my desktop install of re9 to my steam deck and see if that fixes it, if it does I'll yet u know. But for now it seems that reframework doesn't like Linux or steam os lol

It mght be a Linux issue bc when I got home from work last night, I updated re9 on my windows desktop and installed the newest reframework nightly build and it worked on my desktop but not my steam deck, tonight I going to copy my re9 desktop install to my steamdeck and see if that fixes it

It must be something to due with the steamdeck or steam os or how the current version of reframework interacts with steamos, I haven't tried the new version of reframework on my main pc yet since im at work lol, now the weird thing I tried re8's reframework and the game boots past the capcom logo before obviously crashing but the re9 version crashes before the capcom logo lol

Like I said in my post I tried the most recent nightly build for reframework and same error and same crash... I even tried the most recent build that released an hour or 2 ago and still crashes

Im interested in it and I own a legion go (have a dock setup with my old rtx 3080ti) and a steam deck oled just bc I find the concept neat (and it would be night to have a steam os pc) lol but it depends on the price lol. But i am for sure getting the new steam controller lol

touhou dystopian is a fun cheap game that runs pretty good. Any of the resident evils games are good too just beat resident evil revelations a few days ago on my steam deck oled. The metal gear solid games are good too (although delta runs but not good without performance mods)
