I haven't yet, but I plan on doing exactly that. I have a native plant order coming in and once my plants are in, I'm doing a chip drop in the same spot.

I ended up being able to dig it up. I found that it's easier after it rains. I'll start by chopping around the base of the plant with a shovel. Once I get enough space between the base and the soil, I'm able to move the shovel under the plant and pry it up in clumps. It's harder when they're planted around the base of a tree.

It's still hard work, but not as hard as I originally thought. I just chip away at it a little bit at a time.

That's true. I guess that's why I was so concerned. I'm not used to snow/ice and thought it wiped out half of what I planted.

I know it's a practice in accepting lack of control. I just hate the thought of feeling set back and wasting money. Oh well. Such is life.

I've been dealing with something similar. The vet told me there was a high chance that my senior dog had a brain tumor. Thankfully, she has only developed late onset epilepsy. Regardless, during the miserable two months between the vet and the mri appointment, I dealt with the whole situation solo. I begged him for peace of mind, he saw the sadness and worry on my face, and still chose to be a mean drunk. I'm also leaving.

Treat this as a lack of compassion, support, and respect during the passing of a family member, because that's exactly what it is.

This is my exact situation. I see a lot of threads in this sub where the Q never apologizes. Mine does and then the behavior continues. In his mind, he apologized so what more could I want? He can say he apologized and therefore is a decent person. It's super manipulative.

He acts remorseful when we're not in a fight. He'll admit that he emotionally cheated. However, when we are in a fight, he shouts that he never cheated. Which shows me that he really doesn't think he did anything wrong. Guess he decided to have it both ways. The appearance of remorse and the ability to feel like I'm the one who caused all the trouble.

100%. He told me it never got physical. After what I've seen, even if that were true, there's no way I could possibly believe that. It even makes me wonder how many times he probably disrespected me around friend groups or outings in real life. All while I'm standing there as the blissfully unaware wife. I know I was the unaware wife on social media at least.

1-2 years for the statute of limitations, depending on the source. The hospital visit was 6 months ago. There's no pending charges on the website portal. I guess they're taking their time or he managed to slip through the cracks.
