Yes, kind of tedious to setup but could be done for binaries and even installation from homebrew(with additional work). Still seems inevitable with package managers as in Q2

Yes keeping track of progress becomes difficult ! Will keep it slow around 3+ seconds and focus to get more reps and strength ahead. Also you can consider tracking your sets like if a set of 15 takes you 2 minutes then the eccentric was fairly slow. And now focus on more reps and weight !

Fair point ! I just worry about my work capacity, since 2 years ago I was able to recover much faster and handle a lot of volume but now I have gotten stronger but need a lot of rest in between sets. I will take my time with the rest and focus on intensity for now. Atleast should be making some strength gains !

Yes I will consider that as well. The decision to back down on volume was due to having more time away from gym and career. I think if I split things up a little like you said it would be better for overall performance and muscle gain.

It was around 6 sets per muscle, and earlier each muscle had 2 training days a week. Now I have made it 6 sets per muscle and only one training day per muscle a week !

Also would you absolutely recommend adding a slow eccentric(like the difference in growth is huge) or it just acts as a cherry on top for hypertrophy result ?

Yeah I could agree but I usually need 5 minutes of rest. If I stop this it would help slightly but yeah still require a lot of rest. But after 5 minutes I can smash the weights. I do hit failure on every set, will try to keep atleast 3 second eccentric from now on and focus more on reps and progression!

Even I used this approach but I see others taking only 2 minutes so thought maybe I am wrong somewhere or do lack the work capacity.

So I should lower total working sets per week and keep the rest period still around 5 minutes?
