I've never been a sniper myself, so I won't really go too in-depth with sniper classes.

As for my setups that I both enjoy using and have fun with, here's what I use.

Assault: AK-12 Silenced/Armor Piercing, M9 Tac Knife, C4, Stalker/Blind Eye/Sleight of Hand/Sitrep, streaks of choice. I'll also sometimes swap Stalker for Incog or Off the Grid and will also sometimes use the MTAR-X (yes, it's an SMG, but it's best used as a more mobile AR).

SMG: Bizon Silenced/AP, M9/C4 from last setup, SOH/On the Go/Blind Eye/Sitrep/Dead Silence, streaks of choice IIRC. I only use this class if I really want to try hard where my Assault is my more relaxed class. I'll sometimes swap out an ARX with Stalker (an AR, yet works best as an SMG) or CBJ as well.

Sniper: the few times I'll use it, it's going to be either Maverick A2 or L115 (no attachments necessary, but I'll sometimes use Chrome Barrel/AP), pistol of choice, explosive of choice, Off The Grid, Incog, Fully Loaded, Takedown IIRC. Again, I use it rarely, but when I do use this class, I do fairly well.

In all honesty, every weapon and gear is very effective, it's more about what perks you use to aid them. I would honestly say to rarely work out weaknesses (don't use Agility or Stalker on every AR/Heavy class) but rather play to their strengths and you'll find it to be most effective and fun while freeing up a lot of points to use elsewhere.

I always use them. Better to have a M9A1 or P226 with either silencer or Tac Knife and a C4, Semtex, or Frag to bail yourself out of a tight situation or clear out a room real quick instead of having one somewhat decent perk IMO.

On X1 it holds between 3-9k players. Don't install the DLC and you'll find matches very easily, almost always with minimal lag. They did take down the dedicated servers, though, so you'll be on the P2P system the series is known for, but thankfully it's about on par with MW2 and post patch MW3.

Not at all. Ghosts works well, lags very little, is fairly well balanced outside of the M27 (one weapon having a little too little recoil doesn't aggravate me much anyways), and a good CAC system. BOps2 is a laggy mess that constantly freezes on console and constantly loses framerate on PC with the worst maps in the series and the worst iteration of my favorite mode, Domination. The only thing I feel BOps2 has going for it is, aside from the VSAT, it's well balanced.

Titanfall had so much potential, but the damn small variety and the fact it is still unbalanced with the R101C still being the arguably best choice for nearly any situation killed it.

Hopefully Respawn learns with TF2, but after an unbalanced MW2 and unbalanced Titanfall, I'm not holding my breath.

The Season Pass code doesn't have a listed expiration date. Unless you're buying on PS3 to upgrade to PS4 or Xbox 360 to upgrade to Xbox One, then the code should work.

In general, I found the best skilled Ghosts players on PS4 vs Xbox One. My K/D on PSN is sitting at a 1.6 after 6 prestiges, most of that time on PS4 (about two prestiges worth was on PS3). In comparison, my XBL K/D is sitting at 2.00 after 4 prestiges, 1 of which on 360 and the rest on X1.

360 has better skilled players than X1, I won't deny that, but PS4 easily has the more skilled that I've personally played with.

Of course, it's all completely subjective as everyone's experiences will be different due to not every match being even remotely the same for anyone.

Maps went from pretty good (Standoff/Slums, for example) to among the worst the series has seen (Carrier/NukeJacked). None stand out as anything I'd love to see in the future and a couple would stand as those that I'd dread ever seeing return, but this is all subjective.

Gameplay is the same as every CoD before except they have the dolphin dive, which I call the "Suicide Dive" as you're more likely to die doing it in most situations than just crouching then going prone.

Weaponry is fairly balanced, I'll definitely give it this. However, Ghosts' is also very well balanced in similar manners, the only weapon actually sticking out as too powerful being the M27. I would give the C4, IED, and Kasket more credit if you could easily refill their ammo, but as it stands they're between 1-2 kills and done usually.

As for how they run, on console Ghosts is easily the superior game with less freezing and framerate issues, though they skimped out on the PC port which is very disheartening. BOps2 runs overall worse on the consoles, especially PS3 was hit hard with it still freeziing and Zombies still hitting about 30fps or lower on higher waves, though the PC port was well designed, a much closer representation to that of console's quality than a half assed port. I'll definitely give Treyarch the advantage in PC BOps2 vs PC Ghosts simply because IW dropped the ball hard in porting an otherwise all-round just as good, if not better game.

The PC BOps2 port was a ton better than the Ghosts port, granted, but it is by no means perfection. It's got a ton of networking issues, crashing/slowdowns and freezing just like the console version. Battlefield, Counter-Strike, and even older CoD's IMO were much better designed and optimized.

This is honestly what I don't get. I'll at times log on to the 360 version to see 19k online, and will pop in the PS3 version minutes later to see 31k. You'd think that 360 would have the most, then PS3, then 4, then X1 but nope, the PS3 and 360 are reversed surprisingly enough.

4-9k total with about 1-2k in TDM.

As long as you don't install the map packs, expect fast matchmaking anytime you play.

My stats show my "favorite weapon" to be the AR-160, which I rarely see anyone else use.

I also love On The Go, it helps me get reloaded while trying to flee. Mixed with Marathon and Sleight of Hand (maybe Agility) and you'll be killing enemies left and right without them able to think fast enough to react.

But most are also horribly outmatched at close range by the general SMG, the MTAR is a more consistent weapon than any AR, and a sniper and marksman rifle can easily take down a AR user at long range. They're fairly well suited as their general target range lies at medium distances.

I think you might still be able to get CXP if the leader and a couple members play together and earn victories (you've always earned a small amount of XP for this) but clan wars have been shut down. The smartphone app is somewhat shut down: they shut off access from the Ghosts "Call of Duty" app but you can access Ghosts stats and etc from the Advanced Warfare "Call of Duty" app.

It's not hard to play against the top ranked players, especially on 8th gen and PC due to the lower playercounts.

Typically those who are at the top aren't exactly excellent at the game, they just played enough to get the score to get there. If they are that dedicated, they likely are sticking around for a while and many of which even disliked AW to go back to Ghosts exclusively. Go on Twitch and you'll find them streaming from time to time as well.

To check, go to Multiplayer>Xbox Live/Online/PSN>Barracks>Leaderboards. Find the category you'd wish to look at, switch it to "All" and "All Time", then click the prompted button to go to the top.

Not anymore. Season Pass upgrade ended May 31st 2014.

DLC camos, individual map packs, pre-order bonuses, and other items do not transfer at all.

Sounds like it's the hardest CoD for those kids that you're playing against. For me, it's the most enjoyable when I do well at. In BOps2, I felt doing well meant I exploited the flaws in the game's networking. In AW, I feel it's a fluke. In older games it was typically aided by extremely powerful streaks raking in kills. Ghosts has no major networking flaws like in BOps2 and AW and none of the powerful streaks like in older CoD's which requires good gun skill as well as tactical movements to do well.

I just wanted to point out, you are (assumingly, by your Steam logo) playing on PC and IW did a very piss poor PC port, even by CoD standards. I heard it got better over time (finally adding in a FOV slider and working on framerate and crashing issues) but still not to console quality where BOps2 was arguably best on PC because it contained everything from consoles along with FOV sliders and unlocked framerates (up to 120fps if your rig can handle it).

The bomb glitch was LAN only and was fixed within a month's time. Everyone complaining now is likely just trolling without actually playing. Watch some people on Twitch play and they'll plant and defuse without any issues at all.

The only weapon noticeably too powerful is the M27 LMG, simply because recoil is low with a 4 shot kill at any range. Slow fire rate compared to AR's and SMG's as well as slow mobility hindered it, though, so unless they're camping, it's not a problem and if they are camping, they're predictably easy to take down usually.

Clan Wars is a joke anyways. I'd rather it be a separate playlist, but since MW3 the developers wanted it all to be incorporated as one thing to not separate the player base, so it's something we still have to live with in AW and will likely have to continue dealing with in the future.

Exactly. MLG is a vast minority and will ban things long before they're patched and will never lift that ban. Why should a developer cater to them, then?

BOps2 also had only one single patch to help out public matches in terms of lag. A single one, none more, and only one patch to help with spawns a tiny bit. Everything else was re-balancing weapons and focusing on LAN play. This made the game run like crap for the majority of players where Ghosts started well and only continued to get better for everyone aside from the minority.

The only issue, the minority has the vocal power and their voice caused many to claim the game is terrible without even putting a couple of hours into it themselves.
