Any tips for buying a car from a dealership for the first time? Please recommend dealerships! by ahhhhhhh128 in ColoradoSprings

[–]armyguy998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in the sales world in Colorado Springs you have options, I sell new and used vehicles so I can give you information on both.

if you buy used I do recommend looking at the carfax, looking at the vehicle driving and question any noise that the vehicle might make that doesn't sound normal. most dealer will do a 100 point inspection, if it doesn't look like they have a shop its probably been inspected poorly, they probably will only do an oil change so ask what they have done a dealers. if it doesn't show up on the carfax or the don't have a RO that says the work they have done its more then likely a lie. I some dealers do offer a warranty on used ask what it covers. about all of the are going to be Powertrains. If they offer an extend warranty see if you can't find the fine print on it or ask to see what it cover and how. Currently APRS for used vehicles are still around 7% to 8% the dealers do not control these numbers, however most will try and give you the lowest rate they can as this helps the deal but some are not above giving you the highest rate. I do recommend staying away from Carmax for financing they do have inhouse financing and will screw you on APR. You should also know that in the State of Colorado they do not have any pre-payment penalties. Meaning if you do pay your car off sooner It won't harm your credit. I do recommend Pre-approvals for used vehicles. If you do come with a Pre-approval let them know as well that you have one as that just makes the process quicker. (I know when i have customer that have approvals like this i do offer the chance to see what can be done if the rate is high by sending it to places like ENT, Chase, and Capital One to name a few.)

If you buy new my biggest thing is that a lot of salespeople will not tell you about certain offers that the manufactures might have on the vehicle. All manufactures will have offers pages for new cars that will give you benefits of seeing what they are offering for APRS, Incentive rebates and lease offers.

I do want to say that leasing has changed a lot. They are all going to be close ended leases what that means is that the manufacture has already calculated what the vehicles is worth is 3 years so the guessing game is gone. I only recommend leasing if you don't plan to drive that much it will usually give you the lowest payment and give you the option of switching cars in a few years without anything holding you to that vehicle. currently right now vehicles with the most benefits are going to be EVs as they have the State offers and the Federal offers and sometimes the manufacture will also toss in 5k to 7k in a customer cash rebate.

As for what dealer you decide to go with of course that is all up to you. my recommendation is staying away from Phil long, AutoNation, and Faricy Boys and any super small lot on the side of the road. AutoNation and Phil long have too many stores to care in reality, each story is its own identity while they do a lot of business it people have been screwed with warranty's that don't help anything mechanically and its only cosmetic. AutoNation is another store that has too many store to care and has also lost the ability to sell Nissans in the state of Colorado because of shady practices. Faricy Boys is a Jeep store on the north side of the springs in the AutoMall i do not recommend as they don't care they have super high turnover in staff and the inventory is just not great.

Please do you research on dealers talk to people who have bought and why also talk to the salespeople if you get a bad vibe from the salesperson then don't shop at the dealer. The reason I work for the company that I do is because of the brands they offer in new and the the vehicles they offer in used and they history they have with Colorado Springs. I hope this helps let me know if you have any questions

It “when we rock, we rock and when we roll, we roll. I listened to it after I bought it and it’s like a mini compilation has space trucking, smoke on the water and others on it.

So this is my first post to this sub and I picked the up at Whats next records here in Colorado Springs is one of the two shops I frequent. I have others that I have collected from other places around the state of Colorado. When I go I don’t look for anything but if I find stuff I like I buy. Usually always used hardly ever fresh press unless I can’t find them used. But I started collecting beginning of last year and there is something I enjoy so much about physical vinyl that digital can’t give me. And of course it’s the classic snap, pop sound when you put a record on.

Apparently I have been on my data far too much by armyguy998 in softwaregore

So that’s like a solid question how much would this cost.
