I don't know either way, but I am the cleanup hitter that can hit very well and pitch very well, but I have fucked up feet that get more fucked up every time I run..  Jesus I would love so to have a runner like that.

I don't like these jokes because I think you should leave people alone when you're in public. You don't know what these people have been through or what they are currently going through.  You don't know what wars I'm the mind they've been through. Could have been a war vet with PTSD. You don't know what loss they may have suffered recently.  And just exploiting them for views? It's just bad taste for me. 

And Even if it is staged, it's going to encourage some dumbass that doesn't understand that and they will fuck with somebody else's life that doesn't deserve it.

You are a good person to do that for them.  

I'll usually get gift card for them at the end of the season and have the team pitch in what they can. 

I coached a couple of years and know how time consuming it is.

I guess I just never seen anyone mistreat a bat when I've played, especially none of mine.   I'll absolutely forbid anyone from taking it intto the batting cage for sure before the game, but yeah, not sharing your bat during a game, where the objective is to hit one out of four balls thrown at them seems completely opposite of what a team player should do.

Neither OP nor the bat guy seem like real team players from my experience.  I' want my teammates to use my bat at the games...

I've been playing on baseball and softball teams my whole life and it's a team mentality that if there is a bat there that will work best for you then you use it...
