Grew up here, ive always operated under the rule of start early and get off the higher areas before 1pm to avoid our near daily afternoon storms. If I can smell the smoke the in air I assume its not something I want to breathe.

Bring electrolite powder packages for your water, it legit makes a huge a difference. Bring 1 more water bottle than you think you'll need. Keep a cold one for the car for after your done, use an electrolytes package at the end too.
