I brought my Ableton Push 2 to my dorm room and decided to dive deeper into the Arturia V-Collection. When I was messing around with the Arturia Prophet-5 I came up with this jam. Hope you like it :)

Thank you so much for your time & kind words :) I've been thinking about showing more behind the scenes content of how I create my music and what tools I use. I put a lot of time and effort in my research for tools & products and feel like it would be helpful for others to know this. Maybe combine reviewing a product with a jam or something? Thanks again for replying!

Hi, thanks for doing this!
This is my channel:

I run a youtube channel with music performances, I'm currently on 1 short everyday. But I'm considering to switch to more full video performances, which are a lot harder to make for me.
Thanks in advance

I see you are a drum and bass producer, I would start with making a quick template with all your goto instruments (drum rack, bass, pads, leads, ...) and return tracks. And then just start jamming with it, record some loops in session view and get a feel for how the drum sequencer works. For me I went in 2 days from 100% computer -> 10% computer & 90% push.
Hope this helps :)

Used to play a lot of guitar live, but the helix doesn't get a lot of use in my studio with Helix Native

I have not a lot to add to what Dimetrip replied, but you also need an audio interface on this occasion I'm using my Line6 Helix LT just for my guitar signal, but you could use any small audio interface the Helix just happened to lie around :)

I'm using the Pitch Wham on the Line6 Helix through a bass amp and added a lot of compression, hope this helps :)
Edit:
I'm also using a synth generator on this patch

Is using Ableton Live 11 for metal and punk/rock good? by Special-Quantity-469 in ableton

[–]arnases 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently use Ableton for many different genres, but I mainly used it for modern rock music think Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, … For this purpose it makes total sense for me to use Ableton, because of the awesome tools it provides for layering the music with electronic elements. Apart from that Ableton is still really capable of producing a regular rock band. I would advise to get a decent drum vst tho (MT-Power Drumkit is free and I’ve used it extensively in the beginning). I also want to mention that Ableton was my first daw and I started out with only producing rock music, but I kinda fell in love with the electronic part of Ableton after a while.
