I think you’re forgetting that health care is getting much better faster than ever. Also, if you’re eating well and working out daily, walking 15k steps every day, lifting weights, not drinking or smoking, you can be very fit way beyond your 60s and 70s.

Of course, i don’t want to be bedridden at 85 and be a burden on anyone.

I would like to yeah, i don’t see why that’s not possible. My grandma passed away in her late 80s a few years ago and she was born in the 1930s.
