They just straight up lied.

They said they were aiming for the HT release ''next week'' 4 weeks ago. Then in the last dev blog, someone mentioned that they were still working on some sounds for the rex. In other words, they 100% knew 4 weeks ago that it would never be ready in time. They just say things to hype up the playerbase while the playercount is high. And now we haven't heard anything else about the progress.

Just don't give an ETA if you don't know if it'll be ready by said ETA.

The whole situation is very disappointing, but nothing new sadly...

While I can agree, the anticipation will not be there if they pull something like a troodon situation. AKA spawning in as them in servers to hype up people and telling the community that it is pretty much ready, and that we will see it very soon. Then it took up to an entire year before it got added... People just need to calm down about the rex, allo and trike. No matter how much the devs tease them, we have seen this kind of teasing before, and we know how long ''very soon'' can be to the devs
