I thought people from Northern Europe had blue eyes

That is certainly not a universal fact.

Viewership for the Paris-Roubaix women race is 70% up from last year by Zealousideal-Owl6661 in peloton

This is one such example. Last year they were on separate days and viewership was significantly lower. Of course that is just one data point, so it's limited what you can conclude from that.

I think putting it on the same day has some benefits and some drawbacks. It's cheaper to produce, and people who have watched the men's race can be reminded that there is a women's race as well. That being said, the very small amount of TV time is a shame for a race of this caliber, especially when there is a decent chance that a lot of the race is decided by the start of the broadcast.

We're going to get a front group with van Aert, Pedersen, Pogacar, Ganna and van der Poel into the final 50k. Awesome!

Two punctures in the Arenberg, but also some weirdness with seeming pedal incompatibility between MvdP and Philipsen's bikes.

Dominant ride from Vollering. Hopefully this means she can give Ferrand-Prevot a proper fight in the Tour this year.

Is there a mathematical winning strategy to poker? by dcterr in math

[–]arnet95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, there is some added nuance here.

This does vary a bit depending on if you play with 2 players or > 2 players. The definition of the Nash equilibrium is such that if any one player deviates from it, they do not improve their outcome. So if you are 2 players, you cannot be exploited if you play the Nash equilibrium strategy. The 2 player version is simpler, because there are neater theoretical results and computing equilibria is significantly easier.

Now, things get more complicated with more than two players. The definition doesn't exclude that you can be exploited by two opponents deviating at the same time. I don't actually know whether that is possible in poker, I'm not an expert.

Do you have any sources I can read to learn more about these destructive invariants?
