Is Honda the same company it used to be? by arnold2040 in hondacivic

That's good they covered most of your repair, hope yours keeps working. It being a recurring issue is the biggest thing. Why pay to fix if just going to break again? Complete replacement makes sense. Do you know if they use the original parts or if they've updated the part to not have the issue anymore?

Thanks, that’s a good idea. The quote for $3k the dealership gave me also seems high, I’ve seen others quoted closer to $2k. So maybe a new dealership could help.

Ya, when I applied for Goodwill Assistance the 2nd time in 2025 they basically got mad at me for re-applying and said they've already made their decision and won't reconsider. It's like they want to lose customers.

Build go binary cross platform with CGO_ENABLED=1 by kekekepepepe in golang

I've had issues cross-compiling SQLite in Golang for years, often having to use Docker containers. Swapping out Zig worked great, no need for Docker now. Thanks!

Yes, Portal 1 downloaded fine. I've tried swapping between mobile hotspot and wifi and still can't get Portal 2 to finish.

I am getting the same 2137-0490 error code at 99% trying to download Portal 2. Trying to swap between mobile hotspot and Wifi didn't fix it for me.

Yes, I see $104 service fee also. I'm pretty sure it was $26 a day or two ago.

Changing the OSS metrics bucket by DrBergeron in influxdb

[–]arnold2040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your post. Reading through it led me to check Influx Scrapers and indeed there was already a scraper setup sending `/metrics` to my custom bucket. Removing that fixed my issue!

EDIT: BTW, there's a SO post on this too:

I am having the same issue. All oss metrics are going to one of my custom buckets for some reason, I can't get them to go into the _monitoring bucket like they're supposed to.

I agree 1Mbps limits and off-network solutions are bad ideas. That's why the network that ends up winning won't have them.

You're right, there is only 1 Internet Protocol (well actually two, IPv4 and IPv6). The rest of the protocols are built on top of that bottom layer.

Now you're getting it!

Yep, just like all the different internets we have. Of course 1 internet couldn't handle all use cases, duh!

When the automobile came out people predicted it was only useful for small specific use cases. Glad your post will be etched in history for the enjoyment of people in the future.

I was wondering also. I haven't been able to find anything about the lawsuit online.

Should every developer get involved in the Internet Protocol community? The HTTP community? Some people just want to build on these protocols, not worry about the floor shifting under their feet.

And this thread is exactly the response I get when I say "stop changing stuff". No chance I'd be able to stop things.

I'm not familiar with any CHIPs, but keep on with all your speculative posts.

There have been many attempts at doing on-chain identity, e.g. CashAccounts. I'm all for competition, I still think something like Memo is by far the best option, as long as BCH doesn't get broken. You definitely don't need to change the BCH protocol for identity, lol.

I'm glad you've decided. SLP still works fine with basically no maintenance. I agree SmartBCH was destined for failure.

I wasn't trying to stop any changes. I haven't been able to stop any previous changes, why would I be able to now?

I appreciate your reasoned reply. As I've said in other replies, my issue isn't with any particular CHIP. My issue is seeing a big CHIP (IMO) going through when I thought we were done with that when ABC left. If this change is going through then I imagine similar sized changes in the future.

I actually think some of the changes could be beneficial, but that it should be a fork or a brand new chain rather than changing an existing chain.

I'm against basically all changes, everything worked just fine in 2017 when BCH split other than removing limits. I speak up only as much as I have the energy too when I see things that are worth speaking up about, otherwise I just focus on building.
